Hello everyone. I've recently begun lurking this site after stumbling upon a few helpful topics in the "Learning Japanese" section. I've been studying (somewhat lazily, admittedly) Japanese for the last few months and would like to improve. Thus, I ended up here and look forward to participating in threads to come. Now that that's out of the way, let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I am 20 years old.
I am currently learning Japanese.
I enjoy riding my motorcycle.
I currently work a dead-end job at Publix (A local supermarket of which I have grown to hate).
I will be joining the Navy soon hopefully specializing in either Cryptology or in Computer Science.
I cry when I wipe my butt and the toilet paper rips.
I wear socks on my hands when I type to make it more challenging.
Whenever I eat out, I pretend that I am a deaf mute and communicate only through writing in order to give the waiter/waitress a hard time.
I leave my wireless network open and inject malicious wares onto whoever connects to it, because stealing internet is rude.
I can slice a banana without slicing/peeling the skin.
I buy white bread and give it to the ducks down the street in hopes that they acquire diabetes and perish.
I can make minute-rice in 58 seconds.
I keep a can of WD-40 nearby for personal lubrication purposes.
I once handed 40% of a dollar bill to my local bank teller along with a Monopoly money dollar and asked for a new dollar. I received one.
I am 15 - 20 minutes late for work every day.
I shave without shaving cream.
I believe in Santa Clause.
My favorite color is seven.

Thank you for your time and I apologize if you drudged through my entire introduction. I tried my best, though I am sure it was torture incomparable to even the worst pop music available . I look forward to seeing you guys around the forum and expanding my knowledge of the Japanese language while possibly making some friendly acquaintances along the way. :-)

I shave without shaving cream, too. Welcome aboard!

Can't help with the other stuff, but if you will forgive a little unsolicited advice: You could have just as much challenge typing and a whole lot less crying wiping if you would modify your system by placing the toilet paper over your keyboard and wearing socks on your hand when you wipe your butt.

Well that sure was an original way of introducing yourself. Enjoy the forum!

A hint for your Navy rating.

Spend as much of your time learning morse code as you can. I had learned it for Boy Scouts. I signed up for nuke sub school and a six year hitch. When I got to boot camp , part of the test was morse code which I did well on. The next thing I knew they drafted me into NAVSECGRU and dropped my time to 4 years instead of 6.Back than we went to Pensacola , Florida for 6 months of morse code school.
The rating back than was CT or communications technician. You do have to have a really clean background check by the FBI and not have any close family with shady pasts. Working in Naval Inteligence can be real interesting and lead to a job with the CIA or NSA when you get out of the service.
