Dear native English speakers,
would you check my sentences with the past perfect tense?
Q1
<1> I realized that we had met before. (realize=(はっきり)わかる,気づく)(before=以前に)
<2> When I arrived at the party, Lucy had already gone home. (already = すでに,もう)
<3> I told the teacher that I had already solved all the problems.
<4> By noon that day I had finished my work. (by +時刻,日=~までに)(noon=正午)
Q2 [ ]の語数で、過去完了形を用いて英訳しなさい。ヒントの語句は適切な形に変えること。
①私がそこへ着いたときには,その人達はもう(→すでに)出発した後だった。 (出発する=leave)[9語]
When I arrived/got there, the people had already left.

②私の娘は,もう宿題(→彼女の宿題)はやってしまったと私に言った。 (やってしまう= finish)[10か11語]
My daughter told me (that) she had already finished her homework.

③私達が京都駅に着いたとき,最終列車(the last train)はもうすでに出た(→出発した)後だった。 [12語]
When we arrived at Kyoto Station, the last train had already left/gone.
When we got to Kyoto Station, the last train had already left/gone.

④警官が来たときには, 泥棒(thief)はもう(→すでに)逃げてしまっていた。 (逃げる=run away)[11語]
When the police officer came, the thief had already run away.

⑤私が帰宅したときには,(私の)子供達はもう床についていた。 (床につく=go to bed)[11語]
When I came/got home, my children had already gone to bed.

⑥その少年は,先生が戻ってきたときにはその問題を解いてしまっていた。 (解く=solve)[11語]
The boy had solved the problem when his/the teacher came back.

⑦私はミスをしたことに気づいた。 (ミスをする=make a mistake)(thatを用いて)[8語]
I realized/noticed that I had made a mistake.

⑧私は、以前に(before)、どこかで彼女に会ったことがあると気付いた。(realize thatを用いて)[8語]
I realized that I had met her somewhere before.

⑨私達が映画館(theater)に着いたときには、映画(movie)はもう始まっていた。(beginを用いて)[11語]
When we arrived at the theater/theatre, the movie had already begun.
When we got to the theater/theatre, the movie had already begun.
[I think that "theatre" is used in Britain. Is the term "movie" used there?]

All look good to me.
I think people would always say cinema in England. A theatre would mean a place for live performances. Movie is becoming more prevalent though, but I would always say film.
