well, i just received my exam scores from the embassy and i got scores above 50% for 3 subjects and a very low score for the mathematics. Btw, I only passed the English exam- the reason why I failed. I just wonder what is their passing score for each subject? I am now resorting to the conclusion that each item in the exam should be answered correctly so that you will get a possible 80% (my estimated passing mark) for each subject.
In my case, I am able to conclude at the moment of the exam that I am able to answer 70-75% of the questions for 2 subjects and in math B about 25-30%, but my actual scores are lower... maybe if given longer time to answer questions i might get higher scores. but time is a controlled factor there...
Since I am still eligible next year- i am planning to take the exam once again, now with months of preparation and not just days. The problem is, the scopes of the exams are very wide (e.g. in chemistry the whole of general and organic chemistry plus electrochemistry is included)...
Or in the end, because i really want to study in japan, i will find a job first, maybe in research, so that when i am already eligible for the postgraduate studies, i can do it there.
In my estimation, the odds of getting a postgraduate monbukagakusho is higher than getting an undergraduate one.
