Taira no Masakado (平将門), the 'first samurai' featured in the previous video, is a lot more famous than I originally realized. He is one of the three 'deities' enshrined in
Kanda Myōjin shrine (
神田明神) in Tokyo.
One of the amazing things about this shrine is that it is a large, spacious shrine located right in the middle of crowded, urban, downtown Tokyo. It is a short walk from Akihabara Station and Ochanomizu Station.
