The first two pages of a strategy guide for a computer game

Dear friends,

i am from Germany and i would like to know the english translation of the text in the following two pictures. This is an excerpt from the first two pages of a strategy guide for a computer game from the 90s and this game and guide has never been translated to english.

The game is essentially about the fight / war between good and evil and using the "Mana" stones to gain the power you need to win this fight. I think the text represents the (beginning of the) story or some excerpts or it describes the mana stones, if this helps for the context.

Is there anyone in this forum who could kindly translate this to me? I am extremely curious about the translation and thank every helping hand already in advance!

This first image, probably you're meant to read the center text first and then the text to either side, but I left it in the order it is written in.
