Sword says
兼友作 Kanetomo saku (Made by Kanetomo)
昭和十九年八月日 A day in August, 1944.
It is a typical WW2 arsenal blade. The tang looks very well preserved.
The scratches on the scabbard are 青松キテ Aomatsu Kite. I guess this might be the name of the owner. Aomatsu is a slightly unusual last name, but it is a valid last name. Kite as a first name sounds weird to me, but maybe it was a valid name in the early 1900s.
