Switching majors for graduate degree (MEXT)

Hi,
Has anyone here successfully obtained a MEXT scholarship for MBA study without an undergraduate degree business, accounting, finance or economics?

My major was Physics, but I've been working in a bank for the past two years.
I realize that the application says that the scholarship will be awarded for studies related to your undergraduate major, but any idea as to whether or not they take your work experience in to account?

I majored in English and Philosophy as an undergraduate.

I then taught English for two years.

MEXT selected me to study International Relations.

So...yeah, as long as you sell yourself convincingly, I don't think it should be a problem. They may ask you about it at the interview though, so make sure you can talk up your work experience and really make the connection clear between where you've been, where you're going, and what you want to study.
