Sakura house dormitory

Hello everyone !
Very soon I7m planning on moving into one of the Sakura house dormitories , anyone heard about them ???

The thing is the room is shared between around 8 people , is what I heard ,not sure how yet though. When I spoke with my dorms manager they adiviced me to reconsider and told be some dorms could be dangerous .
Dangerous ?? In what meaning ?? Unhealthy ??I have no experience of living in Japan other than the dorm I belong to. What are the chances I'm gonna regret moving ?? At first I thought my only problem would be with the number of people in one room , but now I kinda don't know ..

Dangerous and Japan don't belong in the same sentence. Might be dangerous cause they drink and shout after 8pm at night! *shock!*

Dorms are generally OK, I've lived in one and I used to visit my girlfriends dorm alot

It'll be fun! Are the other roomates Japanese, or a mixture?
As long as there is somewhere else for you to get away from it all! I've stayed in a dorm before in Korea, its ok. Its just nice not to have to spend all your time in the room is all. Hopefully you will be with nice people too.

If it is with Sakura House, there won't be any Japanese people. Their accommodation is exclusively for foreigners (I once inquired, and even a Japanese spouse is not accepted in a private apartment !).

I stayed in a Sakura Guest House and had a great time. It just really depends on the mix of people you get in your room. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, right?

Wow thats weird.

First House, which is where I stayed for a year, actually had more Japanese living there at some points than foreigners.
