according to ring 2 (american) if you watch it with you hands over your eyes (so basically, you listen to it!) then you'll be fine!

I mean, who would sit down to watch any tape without even peeking once!?!?

I found the American Ring 2 about as scary as a Chihuahua.
You could give it to your boss and tell him it's a training video. That should get rid of the idiot.

if i gave it to my boss...could i pop round their house in seven days and watch them cark it!? or would i die of fear too?!
maybe it'd be worth it!
