Pretty to look at , I HATE IT !!!

My house came with a 95 foot long driveway about 12 feet wide. We got our first snow storm of the winter yesterday , a real light one of about 5 inches. Takes about an hour and a half for cleanup. I want to move to Florida , but the wife won't go where there are alligators and snakes , LOL.
When I was in Fukuoka , we had 2 small snow storms. For some reason back then everyone waited till they were at the stop light before slamming on the brakes. After the storm , every intersection had accidents from sliding on the snow. My navy crew always insisted I drive everyone around because I was from Maine and must know how to drive in it , LOL.

As we were shoveling 6 inches of snow last weekend my son said we should get a snowblower. I told him that's my plan as soon as my kids leave and aren't around to shovel. But I said I'd be open to him gifting me one.

They are a big help. I bought my first one about 40 years ago. I now have 2 big ones. A few years ago mine broke down and it was going to be 3 or 4 weeks before they could get it back to me. I bought a new one and now always have a back up. We need a heavy duty one for this area because the snows are often very wet and heavy.
