Post your Jrock Fanart!

I find the "Random Deviant" button works nicely... or the "Random Deviation" saves you the trouble of browsing through aaaaalllllllllllllllllllllll those deviations...

Aww... poor Kinsao... I'll go and add you right now *huggles*

Furan has one... err... 3 [] too... and I think Pjusk too... :?

It's mighty good (I wish I could do imaginative drawings like that )! *eyes Kaoru's pointy teeth*

yay, i finally have it! my spray-paint piece i did of AYA-chan!!

i love AYA-chan!

actually, this one i didn't really like, but it's grown on me...it says on it "bye bye reality" just because...heh heh...no reason, really. anyway, it's spray-paint and acrylic on canvas. basically the reason i really hated this one was because i had a perfect image in my mind of how i wanted it to look, and it ended up looking really different and i got frustrated so yeah...i hated it...the colors are off and everything, it was SUPPOSED to be brighter, but oh well...

and actually, interestingly enough...my art teacher asked me to give this one to him because he liked it so much. this coming from the man who is disturbed by the very idea of "shims" as he calls them...(she-hims...) but he loved AYA-chan, even knowing full well that AYA-chan is a "shim". i am so proud of you, AYA-chan!!

also...because i am big-headed and feel like bragging a bit...this piece won first place at the local fair. heh heh.

It's good! I like it!
Haha, you will succeed in converting your art teacher to the beauties of gender ambiguity...
Congrats on the prize!

I like this one... it's not all big and upside down

Man... you are so awesome... not that I had any doubts.

I hates stupid hands that can't draw...

*bites her hands*

I've been trying to finish this picture for ages... err... not really ages... like maybe 2 weeks or so :? I left it alone for a bit and only did this much... I want to finish but nothing comes out right... It's so messy... AP and furan said they liked it though... maybe they were just being nice... Guess that's what I get for trying to fake a traditional media look using digital... it worked for Saku Kyo though... I think I'm rusty...

*stabs* I officially give up

I think it's good.... ... I'm not just trying to be nice... But I don't know what you were aiming at... I guess it's got a kind of blurry effect... but I wouldn't know if that was meant to be intentional :? .... and a harshness to some of the shadings... but to me that looks effective. Did you use a photo? I mean, the proportions all look right to me - or at least, convincing! I don't see why you would be so unhappy with it...

Well... faces are my strong point so once I get done with them I get very lazy on other stuff... I don't really have the patience for it...

I was so happy because it was such an interesting picture but in the end that is all that is worth looking at... He was in a cage and everything... it was so awesome... why do I have to suck

Yea... I used a reference... umm... it looks stupid and blurry in some spots cause something is weird with my photobucket account... *bites it*

How much of him did the original pic show, then? :? (If you get my meaning! ) You mean, you did the whole pic but didn't like the rest so you just cropped the face section out?

I didn't say stupid and blurry. I think it looks good, honestly (even if it is courtesy of Photobucket! ).

Shall I send you the reference pic? :?

Umm... well I would work on it and when I'd get tired I'd look at wat I'd done and think it wasn't worth saving so I left it as is... and I've been doing that for weeks So actually and technically... that IS about all that is done since I never saved my progress beyond that.

No... I know you didn't... I said stupid. ☝ Well... erhm... thanks...

It's difficult to see it objectively when it's your own work and you've been staring at it for weeks. *reassuring pat*

I'm still working on the 2 oil paintings... I'm making better progress on Kozi than on Hitsugi (probably because it's easier )... I've done the face, and I'm really looking forward to doing the hair... it's lush and red... ............... it's one of those things which has several "layers" and you just know it looks kinda crap for ages and then you do the final layer and it all goes "ping!" and comes right...

I suppose...

Wow... I can't wait to see... I've never been brave enough to use oils

God... I have 3 commissions I still haven't gotten done... I could never be a professional artist... the pressure... the deadlines... *thunks at the thought of it*

Oils are great! You should try! If you make a mistake, you can just paint over it and start again, or sluice/dab (delete as applicable) with turps and get rid of the mistake. My kind of thing... And you can get luscious colours...... :liplick:

I know... that's why I decided not to go professional... I wanted to still enjoy art... and if you do it as a job, OK it might not be the same as going into the office every day, but it does still become the daily grind simply because you have to do it. And, yeah, deadlines... I had a commission before Easter and it just took over...

They are expensive and I am el cheapo

Seriously... I should be beaten... one of those commissions was from February. Ehhh... but the important thing I should be focusing on is who should beat me?

OMG.... that licky smilie makes me think of Ruki!

PK, i consider that a personal attack on my picture uploading skills. i thought the overly-large, upside-down look was...unique. it complimented Kyo-kun's dementedness nicely. but yes, i made sure it was small just for you.

ergh, i would never do oils...i have not enough patience and they take FOREVER to dry... and i am also a bit el-cheapo... plus i'm no good with blending colors when they are still wet. i am better when they are dry, or i can focus on one TINY wet are without worrying about smudging the crap outta the rest of the piece...

PK: OMG HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE IT!? IT IS GORGEOUS!! who is it, he is so beautiful!! and i am NOT just being nice!!. in fact i saved it to my computer, so HAH.

my poor totchi-kun is being neglected in favor of Yukke. actually, i started a charcoal Miya, but i am bad at charcoal, so he is taking a break. poor Miya and Totchi. oh, and my Tatsu stencil that i got tired of cutting teeny details out of so i took a break from that too. poor Tatsu, i am lazy. oh AND my Ryutarou stencil that i made but never used because i haven't primed the wood yet. poor Ryu!! man, i really suck... not to mention i haven't painted Daisuke since i was 14...i am a bad future wife. (although that painting of Daisuke i did when i was 14 won 1st place at the local fair... heh heh...) i think he is deserving of another one. AND my friend and Diru budy who sits next to me in art history asked me today if i would draw Ka-chan for her. she loves Ka-chan. so i said yes because i have never drawn Ka-chan and i feel he is deserving, and i love my Diru buddy because she is cool. XD

whew...i have a lot of work to do...

PK send me the most beautiful, drawable pictures of Ka-chan you can find, i want to make this picture AWESOME!! and i will take a picture of the finished thing for you, of course...

I too am el cheapo - but I have loads of massive tins (yes, tins) of oil paint left over from when I was a student and could get them at ridiculously cheap prices.

Yes, you should be beaten, and I think Zero should do the beating.

You can get special stuff to make oil paints dry faster. I really like that because they stay wet long enough for you to work on them and do some blending, but then they dry enough to work on them the next day. I find acrylics quite difficult to blend because they're drying pretty well as soon as you get them down.

☝ i never usually have trouble blending acrylics, but that's probably because i focus on a teeeeeeeeny section until it is finished. i mean TEENY section. like, i'll do just the mouth first. and then the eye. and then a part of the hair. and i will spend litteraly 3 hours on just that one small part. maybe that's why i never get anything done...

Beautiful... drawable... Kaoru... is on it... *salutes*

You call a mouth a tiny detail... you know how much time I spend on like a strand of hair I am seriously like THE slowest artist in existance *hides face in shame*

*_* very nice picture PKK its really good!!
Did you use a program to draw it?
I never used oils paints either btw too messy and expensive for me lol..

Hehe, I was doing the hair on my Kozi painting today and it is anti-detail! Whoo hoooo! *trails brush luxuriantly down canvas*

I restrained myself from trying to copy the photo. I wanted it to look... I dunno... like, er, paint... and hair, both... not like paint trying to be hair... if you know what I mean....

XD I hope you guys don't mind if I post a furre or two. I can't find half of my old fanart.

XD Daisuke as a furre. My ref was actually one where he had no makeup. o.o;;
This one isn't that recent, so I found it easily on my private oekaki. (which is, if you want a look, http://members.lycos.co.uk/heartcard/oekaki my friend owns it, but we each have our own board)
