Here is another group of videos good for listening practice at the beginning level.
This is the easiest and lowest level of listening practice I have found so far, so I strongly recommend this set of videos for absolute beginners of Japanese. One of my biggest complaints about listening-practice YouTube videos is that they say they are at the beginning level, but they are actually at the lower-intermediate level. I have had a great deal of trouble finding listening practice that really is at the beginning level.

I am not a fan of anime, but I came across this anime song and I was impressed by it.

I watched this video, and I am not sure what to make of it. It says there are a number of streets in Japan that have built-in sprinklers that spray water on the road when there is snow, causing the roads to be clear of ice and snow.
I don't remember ever seeing such sprinklers in Japan. Has anyone seen such sprinklers in their area?

Probably only would work in areas where it doesn't stay below freezing for long. Here in Maine , any water pipe not at least 5 feet below ground would freeze and burst. We use trucks with giant salt water tanks to soak the roads before the snow starts.

Airline service has resumed from Ishigaki Island to Hateruma Island. (Hateruma Island is the southernmost inhabited spot in Japan.) By the way, the type of aircraft in this video is a Twin Otter, which is VERY unusual in Japan.
