Please translate these words

I am currently taking a Japanese course and I have a test on some of this stuff real soon. Please translate the following, though I have translated some of them. If they are spelled wrong then please translate the closest word you think it is. The questions marks are not part of the translation, it means "Is this translation correct?"

1. mokuyobi- Wednesday?

2. raishyuuhoyobi- two weeks ago?

3. donnayakitor-

4. Samui- Hot?

5. nanji- what time?

6. mainichichi

7. ototoi-

8. yorokonde-

9. hidoi-

10. daijyobu- are you okay??


Oh and translate the sentences in romaji. Thanks!

EX. raishyuu no getsuyoubi = Next Monday

3. donna yakitori- donna is what kind/which kind - yakitori is grilled or fried chicken
I am not sure of this phrase as yakitori specifies already a type of food.

4. Samui- Cold as in the environment or air is cold temperature

5. nanji- what time? that's correct

6. mainichichi - is it supposed to be mai nichi? this would be everyday

7. ototoi- day before yesterday

8. yorokonde- ?

9. hidoi- cruel or mean

10. daijyobu- are you okay? that's correct

よろこぶ (yorokobu) is to be delighted and this would be the -te form of this. I don't know how this would make sense as a command. Maybe "cheer up"?

yorokonde is an expression which means "gladly" or, "it's my pleasure".

Also of course "daijoubu" can be "I'm fine/alright" not necessarily as a question. As for "yakitori" restaurants or foods it is grilled meat, which still leaves a range of options : chicken wings/meat balls/liver/heart, duck, white/brown meat, skewered or not etc.

hmm ok, i looked it up on a site and just said grilled baked or fried chicken since tori is bird and yaki is fry i figured yakiniku would be more of fried meats.

I think what Elizabeth said is consistent with the fact that tori=bird, since she only mentioned chicken and duck. (not cow or something, which would be yakiniku I guess?)
