Dear native English speakers,

Would you please check my sentences and give some comments?
1) She left the room without saying good-by. She must heve been angry/mad at me.

2a) Mary married my cousin Fred last month.
2b) Mary got married to my cousin Fred last month.

3a) I'm having a party this weekend.
3b) I'm going to have a party this weekend.
3c) I'm planning to have a party this weekend.

4a) They have never eaten pork.
4b) They haven't eaten pork before.
4c) They have never had pork.
4d) They haven't had pork before.

5a) I'm going to Exile's concert at the end of the month.
5b) I'm going to go to Exile's concert at the end of the month.

6a) I'm visiting France, Britain, and Italy during the spring holidays.
6b) I'm going to France, Britain, and Italy during the spring holidays.
6c) I'm travelling to France, Britain, and Italy during the spring holidays.

7a) I've lived in this apartment/condo since I moved to this town.
7b) I've lived in this apartment/condo ever since I moved to this town.

8a) My father has been working for the company since he graduated from college.
8b) My father has worked for the company since he graduated from college.

9a) A chicken has wings but can't fly.
9b) Chickens have wings but can't fly.

10) You look happy. What happened?

The very first sentence bought back memories of my English teacher. She said using "mad" is like saying the person has rabies like a "mad dog" or is a crazy person in an asylum , always use angry. On #10 , it seems more up to date/natural to say "What's up? What happened is OK but doesn't sound natural to me.

5a and b:
Both are grammatically fine. Some might find the "going to go" construction to be redundant, and therefore something to be avoided, but "going to go" is an extremely common phrase and its hardly worth mentioning. Also, we normally don't use the possessive in the case of a concert. We would say "I'm going to the Exile concert".

Every other sentence pairing looks fine. The decision to use one over the other would be largely a matter of personal choice. Note Uncle Frank's comment regarding the word "mad". In the UK (and to some purists like Uncle Franks's grammar school teacher) the word mad typically means crazy, whereas in the US the default definition tends to be "angry". Speakers from both countries are aware of the dual definition, and can usually figure out which meaning is intended.
