Ex-sex slaves urge Arroyo to take up their plight
In the Philippines alone, 450 cases of sexual assault were documented since the first sexual victim came out to tell her story in 1992.
Historians estimate that about 200,000 women, including those from China, South Korea, the Philippines and Indonesia, were forced into sexual servitude by the Japanese military during the war.
