Momentous days, it seems: Not a day goes by that doesn't see praise for the merits of AI.

A subsidiary of Panasonic has implemented an artificial intelligence (AI) system similar to ChatGPT to increase productivity. It is designed to understand natural language and can interpret spoken or written worker requests. The system then provides appropriate responses, solutions or guidance to help workers complete tasks more efficiently.

Through a partnership with Microsoft, the company has developed an AI assistant that answers employees' questions, utilizing technology from OpenAI, a U.S. company that developed ChatGPT, an interactive AI. Like ChatGPT and other such systems, Panasonic Connect's AI, which learns publicly available information, will respond to queries in about 10 seconds. The company uses the AI system to produce statistical data in a format that can be easily handled by spreadsheet software, to create templates for documents, and to ask for ideas on how to proceed with meetings. The company says that the interactive AI has received over 20,000 questions in the first week of use.
