Used Underwear...Get Your Used Underwear...

i'd rather havesuch stores around than to make the women feel as if they have to sell their actual bodies. that's when it gets bad...

Ya... problem is though, prostitution among teenagers is also a big problem in Japan, so these panty-shops don't seem to be the solution to the problem. But still... 😍

I've heard a few of the stores are fronts and hook up points for Enjo Kosai anyway.

I'd rather decent sex education and loving family units in Japan that teach girls that they dont have to sell their panties or have paid sex to foul old *****s to buy Louis Vutton bags to increase their self esteem.

that isn't quite what i meant, i know it isn't a solution. i was simply saying that if i were a young girl in japan who fle the pressure of wanting money to buy something, i'd rather sell my panties to a panty shop than do enjo kosai. a solution would be what you said, about the sex education and loving famalies.

True, Ashuri2.. Selling your panties is better than selling your body............... 😲

Problem is this.

You go to the panty shop to sell your panties. The propriator, likely a guy with underground crime or sleze links, tells you that one of his clients likes the look of you and whats to meet you. Tells you its a good way to make some more money.

You know exactly what he means and you refuse to do it.

So he threatens to tell your school and parents (how he knows who you're parents are is a mystery or irrelevant) if you don't.

And so the downward spiral begins.

sigh~ a better solution would be to just stay away from all this to begin with and to find some way to get rich. legally

Ok, ok: I found an adress to a burusera (used panty shop). IT's in Tokyo, in Shibuya, and it's called 'Rope'. Anyone who's currently in Tokyo should check it out if they want to! :

Rope burusera -- used panty store. has to be seen to be believed.
coming from the station (Harajuku), Rope is a little ways past 109 building (famous Shibuya mall). as you approach 109 building , turn left so that the 109 is on your right, keep going until you see a little archway on your right, with a 2-foot-tall PacMan looking creature on it. then walk one block until you see a Lawson's. left at Lawsons, go another block and the ROPE sign should be on your right.

Err... was that complicated? I'm sure you guys'll find the store! Buy panties, GO GO!

Sure, I'll buy them! *picks out money* I'll pay... err... a dollar?
Or, no. I don't want to buy your worn shorts. I think it's only panties. And on girls... haha.

HAha, yeah, probably. But the shops work in the way, that the girls selling their used underwear take their picture, a picture of them in a school uniform or whatever, and the picture is then put on the outside package for the used panties, so that the customer can choose a panty and it's former owner that he likes the best... Or so I've heard.

It's TRUE!!! I watched Tokyo subway monkey (tom green) and it was true. I couldn't sleep becuase I was soooo grossed out. >_<

I've just read this thread with a kind of horrified fascination... eeeuch...

Having said that, I'd sell worn panties if I was gonna make a profit. Umm, they'd definitely have to put someone else's picture on the outside, though! 😊

Reminds me of when my friend was hostessing in Japan she got offered about $1000 for 'hair' by a customer, and so she just went to a guy friend and asked him to shave his beard for her....
Hahah I liked the add too :D

I am blow out of the water by what I just read!!!

Over here in Germany, it is forbidden since a long long time already (has ever been that that way afaik). Underwear (and bathing suits as well) are explicitly exempted from the return policy, and you're not allowed to try them on either. Often, you'll also find signs that it's not allowed for hygienic reasons.

In France and Australia you can try on underwear but with your panties on. The bras are ok to try on.

In Malaysia you can't if you don't know your size you take it to the sales girls and they measure you then advise your size. Similarly you can try on bras.

Probably a few teen girls here and there sleep with older men for $ to purchase name brands they're dired to get,I don't think it's flourished as " an under-age sex industry " in Japan.

I'll say that "prostitution amoung teenagers" MAY be a problem in Japan, but they aren't Japanese teenagers, but rather foreign workers forced into the sex trade, by either physical force or strictly to survive...

Enjou kosai started out as a game for the upper class girls to play in order to enact control over unconfident self-loathing salarymen, and moved down the food chain, social caste if you will.

Haha - That is quality story ! LMAO

I hope he enjoyed the curly clock springs.
Maybe he wanted them to cover his bald patch? Or maybe I'm being a little naive.

Sorry for diggin' out ye olde thread, but I've just read this on Japan Today:

Hiroshima construction worker arrested for stealing 4,400 items of women's underwear

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 09:02 EST

HIROSHIMA ツ― A 54-year-old construction worker was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of stealing some 4,400 pieces of women's underwear, police said. Hiroshima Prefectural Police arrested Shigeo Kodama after they raided his home in Hiroshima's Minami Ward and confiscated some 4,400 women's stockings and panties.

Kodama faces immediate specific charges over the February theft of six pieces of women's underwear from two homes in Minami Ward. Kodama told police he had kept all the stolen underwear at his home. Police believe Kodama's lingerie collection dates back to around 2001, based on reports from women in the area who said their underwear had been stolen. Kodama was quoted as telling the investigators, "I'm very good at climbing to high places," citing his experience working on high-rises.

This really cracked me up. Especially the last quote!

:D

After reading all the posts in this topic I can well believe that such a market exists for these items. After all in commerce you can sell almost any item to someone if the price is right and there is a supply and demand for the product.
But after reading all the posts, one old British Phrase popped into my mind, and that is this :- 'Dont get your knickers in a twist'

:-)

What was said about the photos attached to the panties is true - they go for a higher price than non-photo'd panties, and most places make it a rule - no photo, no money. You can make some decent money though, 4000en a pair is not unusual, and most of the time they will block out your face. I've also seen some adult stores do discount deals where if you pose with the goods (usually costumes, but also SM goods etc) for a photo they'll give you a discount, the size of the discount being in relation to the item.
