Our reasons for naming our screen names

Mines easy. Its the Romanji of the Katakana for my name, Carla.

As far as the Avatar? I liked Yami no Matsuei. I really like Seki Toshihiko.

Nothing special, just me :)
 
I wanted my BBS name to be Quijote (for Don Quijote de la Mancha) in english I think it's Quixote, so it changed to Kixote. In spanish you can read the same as Kixo-t, but the BBS "server" ate the "-", so it appeared Kixot in the screen, so I adopted it.
 
I forgot to tell, those were really old BBS, all this happened about 11 years ago.
 
There are some nice names here! I like the classic Mega Drive game, "Gunstar Heroes", by Treasure. I bought the domain a few years ago so I thought it would be nice to call myself a Gunstar Hero! The avatar picture is taken from the US/Euro front cover of the game :)
 
I had several screen names but in the last last years I settled with Lineartube, because its a combination of words in English and German, and had a direct connection with my work, that at sometime had a lot to do with Web and Graphic Design. So, its like:

Line+art+ube

Its a bit pretencious since I always felt very interested by minimalism and the simplicity of drawing a line.

...There's also a phonetic meaning but that I don't usually talk about. Lineartube can be said in a way that sounds similar to Lion heart's ube. :D But that's a link with my tastes: history (King Richard I) and... Final Fantasy. It's the strongest limit break that Squall's can unleash on its enemies. :D

The explanation of my name is pretty simple. Well, my name's Carolyn ..and I'm a girl, soo carolgirl had a nice ring to it. And about those zeros, uh I have no clue. o.o

my name is really easy. "ac" are my initials and the shortform for my city on cars license-plates.
hustla comes from back in the days. my name is arif and my boys always used to call me "arif da parif". this is from tﾃｼrkiye, iran or somewhere in that area and "parif" means hustler. so they started to call me "ac da hustla". see???
that's it! easy, or????
 
Turtle used to be my nic, for a short time. There is a story behind it. Not proud of it though. I got this nic about 15 years ago. My Japanese buddy窶冱 dad gave it to me when we were in Jr. High. Samurai is the obvious part of it. Tora means Tiger. I love big cats. His father gave me the name because I was into Bushido, the old ways, martial arts, and Tigers/big cats. I know my story isn窶冲 that interesting. Sorry.

My Avatar is that of Samurai Jack. I love the whole Zen factor of it and the colors.
 
Mine is b/c I LOVE FY AND CHICHIRI!! it's really just as simple as that. Ri is Chichiri's last name and koran is his fiance's name. So if they had gotten married it would have been Koran Ri. I used to call mself Sakura Ri but then I started using Koran. So...my avatar goes w/it. ^__^ Nicknames are funny. I have a friend I call tranvestite mommy or squams. Some people call him sloth.
 
Hmmm interesting, my alias is kind of boring i got it from a not particullaly good MetallicA song called fixxxer cause i liked the name. I go to alot of LAN parties and every1 speaks 'leet" so I threw in an 0 instead of and e thus creating "Fixxx0r" and the avatar I just thought was cool.
 
I was kind of wondering about your name Fixxxor. Oh, and I hate 1337 5P34K. It kinda loses the appeal that a regular conversation would hold, seeing as though someone always ends up making a new word, and everyone asks about it...........crazy vicious cycles ensue.

one moment, when I was posting, i felt - all at the same time - immensly inspired, fulfilled, justified, complete, at one with myself and, most importantly, enlightened... at that moment I concured with myself that I was blessed, so I named myslef so... sadly, I soon realised I was mistaken when I was cursed by a voodoo priestess from Jamaica. But that didn't stop me from keeping my once proud, untarnished name... I have been suffering ever since.
oh well...

I typed in Japanese words at random (well, whatever popped into my head), until something wasn't rejected.

Do I like it? I kind of do, actually. It has a rhythm, and a good meaning.
 
Well mine comes from the anime X, the main character Kamui it's just too cool, and I also liked the name and it's meaning, and the "zero" comes from numer 0 :D hehehehe
 
I tried many names I wanted but to no avail... THEN, I remembered the movie "Hero" coming out soon so I tried that and Kapow!... got my name!
