Hello everyone, I just joined this forum and am cleaning out my Dad's place. Found some old documents that he brought back from when he was stationed in Japan after WWII, among them was this picture - can anyone read this? I believe the top line say's infantry 29th regiment but I"m stuck on the second and third line. 2nd line indicates something involving a standard (flag).

Also, does anyone know of a good phone app that will translate kanji? Thanks everyone! Stu

Shining history - our battle flag.

Not exactly sure how to interpret in the context of what's in the picture. Is it some kind of diorama that was for sale during the war?
