It strike me that Fox always goes for the lowest form of entertainment. Maybe it's Rupert Murdoch for you. He seem to own a lot of media around the world that goes down to the lowset form. I object to his newspapers in the UK. He is an Australian republican. How he can pass off his views to the Britsih is beyond me. He can say this in his own country, but shouldn't really be trying to change our views on our Royal family. His media ownership is one reason why I no longer buy newspapers and avoid his low mentality shows.

Well, fortunately, "Who's Your Daddy?" absolutely tanked in the ratings, so there won't be any sort of encore. There's hope for us dopey Americans yet!

Yeah, but they pull a great show like "Family Guy" off the air. Go figure.

Reality tv has ruined tv for me. I guess it's a good thing because I watch 99% less tv now lol but I substitute in DVD's and videogames but overall I rarely watch any "new" tv shows just old ones like Knight Rider, A Team, Kojak etc. The day reality tv dies all of mankind will benifit.

According to studies TV is bad for children, and probably not too wonderful for adults, either. I thought it was interesting information, even if it's a bit intuitive.

Well, I gave watching ANYTHING on the networks wa-a-a-a-a-ay back in 1991 when I first got cable (now I've got a dish) except for sports, so I don't worry about missing this great show or that or get my heart broken when a favorite show is axed. Who needs the aggravation?

I've always considered such studies to be pure crapola. There's "studies" out there today that say just about EVERYTHING in this world is bad for kids since so-called "experts" overreact about everything and need to trot out scapegoats to cover for the asses of people who don't know how to raise kids right. When I was growing TV was a helluva lot more violent than it is today, what with westerns and cop shows all over the place, and I turned out to be a good citizen. Those studies you have to take with a grain of salt.

I don't put too much faith in these "studies" either. Personally I love TV (if it's good) especially shows in Discovery and History. I learned alot of science and some very interesting historical facts from TV that I would have NEVER learned in school. I just hate this reality tv bs because it's shoved in your face, trashy, and blatantly fake. Plus it hogs all the air time and we see less good tv. But I really don't care because as long as I have channels like Discovery, History, OLN etc then I'm set to be entertained and learn a thing or two along the way.
