Hello... Um... where to start? I'm kinda here on a mission, I dont know how many ACTUAL Japanese people visit this site but i could sure use a native's help😌 I have a friend who has asked me to help him find a few Kanji characters for a nickname. They mostly have too do with street racing like, "Drift Boy" "Drifter" "Speed King" all that kind of stuff If anyone knows anything about the stuff please let me know, PLEASE? Anyway that's all for now I guess...🙂 Sayounara!

As far as I know, there's no kanji for "drift." It's just written ドリフト in katakana

Idaten... Hmm that's interesting thank you hanachan. 🙂 and nice gaijin thank you as well. I'm still taking more advice anyone!!

nice gaijin is correct; there is no Kanji entry for drift in WaKan or my handkanji dictionary.

横滑り yokosuberi (yoh-kohs-beh-ree - pronounced similar to this (su is usually not fully pronounced))
means skid, or slipping sideways. This could be a good one...

速やか 王者 sumiyaka ouja (suh-mee-yah-kah oh-jah)
Speed King (Is this the correct kanji for a king, anyone? I might have used the wrong variation)

Hope I helped anyways.
Joe

Than you everyone this is so awesome!!! 👍 😎 I can't believe how many responses are coming in📣:win::Thank you: My friend is going to be so very pleased!✌️👍 WHEE!!!!!🎊 I love all the help everyone has been giving me😍

I have a couple of specifics if no one minds...:joyful:
Some include:

Dragon Racer

Drift king (kanji, katakana, whatever...)

Drag king (drag as in racing)

Grip king

Race king

Genuine drift

Drift boy/ Drift kid

and a couple others but that's all I'm asking for now. Minna-san wa doomo arigatou gozaimashita!!🙂🙂🙂 I'm grateful for all the help so far!!!

Pretty much all of these names would just be transliterated into katakana. If there are any racers in Japan that would take such names, they would probably even stick with the names in English, as it adds to the coolness factor.

Also, I wouldn't use 王者 for king, especially not in a case like this. Just 王 is fine. I even prefer 王子 (ouji, prince), in case anyone follows college baseball in Japan :P The cadence of the name flows better as "ドリフト王子" than "ドリフト王者" or "ドリフト王," if you're dead-set on a "Japanese" name.

WHEE!! Nice_gaijin you are awesomeness!!!:win: But everyone else has been so helpful too I never thought I'd even get this far :( But now I have!! 🙏 Thank you!!

I still have a few more though, (trust me he's irritating me too... He's got like 5 new ones everyday:eek:)

Unstoppable

blaze

take down king (yeah yeah i saw the kanji for king don't start)

Lone Wolf

Lone Rider

Dragon Racer

Godlike

and the rest all have to do with drifting... Which i told him is only available in katakana but boys never listen...😄

Might as well ask now but are most of the terms for racing loan words and are pretty much written in katakana? :?

Shoot before i forget can anyone send me calligrafied kanji for some of these? You know like it was written with ink and brush... Sorry for the inconviences but he would like it a certain way, I'm just grateful that i've gotten responses....
