Nice to be here!

Hi everyone. I just signed up, found this place while looking for some help with learning Japanese. My wife and I got married in Okinawa (I'm from Canada, she's Okinawan), and it made me realize how much I need to learn!
Looking forward to learning lots of new stuff, and spread my limited knowledge as well

The sun having set eloguently today, with the moon mirrowing that life-giver as it rises up over the mountians to the east, I find it a great time to sit down here at the PC in my house and give you a big WELCOME to JREF !!

I know that you will be able to really improve your Japanese little by little here. Keep working at it, don't give up, and we'll help you as we can.

Were you guys meet here in Okinawa, or there in Canada? The little lady here was a part-time worker at the small cafe/bar that a friend and I had run back in the late '80s. Do you ever make it over this way from time to time?
