My name's Daniel, I'm in college now as an art major. Outside of art, I also like archery and I play a few instruments. I live in the quieter part of east Texas and haven't gotten to experience another country due to my parents health. I have had an interest in Japan for a while and just recently started practicing the language.

I'm not new to using forums but it's been a while, I'm looking forward to making friends with you guys!

Welcome! I was an art major at one point, but ended up graduating as a history major.

If you like arts, Japan is one of the places where art and design thrives. Not so much in the museum sense, but in the integration into daily life, be it with the prevalence of illustration in advertising or having small calligraphy schools in many neighborhoods. And of course, manga is everywhere, even if not everyone reads it.
