need to know about exchanging from New York to Tokyo

I am in my freshman year of high school and I want study in Tokyo. Hopefully I could get into a good university. It does seem far for me but I want to start learning Japanese as soon as possible so I can be prepared. I just want to know how to exchange from New York to Tokyo. And I'm not a citizen in the USA so my friends said there might me be some troubles for me because I'm not a citizen. I could only stay in another country for 90 days the most. But please can some people help me? Thanks so much!!!

I would go to your school counselors or advisers first and ask them if your school offers any exchange programs.
There are many Japanese people in NYC, so you might be able to find schools for the Japanese which you can take classes in.
