1) This is probably going to vary based on the context. I imagine my attempt will end up being corrected, but maybe something like よーし来たぞ。 or やっと来た。 (yoshi..kita zo! OR yatto kita!)
2) これは俺の唯一のチャンスだ。 (kore wa ore no yuiitsu no chansu da)
3) 火 土 水 雷 風 those are the kanji. There may be some japanese expression that puts them together somehow and its read a certain way. But I don't know it, so I will just give you the individual readings:

fire = hi earth = tsuchi water = mizu lightning = kaminari wind = kaze

But I dont know if those five have any special meaning in japanese as a set (or in english either for that matter). One with a special meaning would be the five elements used in naming the days of the week:

moku ka do kin sui (wood, fire, earth, metal, water)

Oh yeah, about the elements thing, I think the 2nd one was what I was looking for (the moku, ka, do, kin, sui). I remember in naruto, yamato said "mokuton" which is wood element. And sasuke used fire and said "katon", and that water hokage that fought the 3rd hokage used water and said "suiton", I think those are what I was looking for =P THANKS!
Oh by the way, do you know what the letters "ton" makes the elements mean?

Oh btw what about "kore da!" for the first line? Someone helped me out on that one.

火遁 (katon)
水遁 (suiton)
These are the words to describe particular art/skill in ninjutsu, katon means to hide onself using the fire, suiton using water.
遁 (ton) is the kanji which has the meaning of escape, hide, etc. but hardly used on its own when pronounced "ton".
It has other pronunciation,
遁れる noga-reru (to escape)
遁れる kaku-reru (to hide)

As for "koreda!", if your 1st sentence means "this is it (it = what I've been looking for, what I've expected, what I'm thinking of, etc.) then yes, it is OK.
It really depends on the context.

Please, please, please DON'T use the word "jap" for abbrebiation for Japan/Japanese. It sounds very offensive to many Japanese, at least it really does to me.
Please spell it fully, or just write "J".

が is formal so don't use it in casual speech. Use けど。 If you are a guy, and you aren't saying だけど（さ） 5 times or more in every sentence, you are doing something wrong (slightly exaggerated, but you get my point).

Also what is the 分からない referencing here? Maybe you're practicing Elizabeth's new 分かる vs 知る advice?

One last thing, a question for others--取り付かれている is this in frequent use? 夢中 （むちゅう）、しびれる、マニア, マイブーム--there's a lot of similar words that I hear a lot, but maybe I'm just not picking up 取り付く cause it blends in and I can get by from context. Worth remembering?

As Charles explained, the five elements "木火土金水(moku ka do gon sui)" is the name of the week days, and it's from the ancient Chinese thought/philosophy/theory "陰陽五行説(inyou/onyou-gogyou-setsu)".

Although it has to be said, too, が isn't always formal and けど certainly isn't necessaily casual.

I can't explain it in terms of rules or patterns, but for instance いったが"
may still be odd but somehow sounds better to me in normal speech than 分からないが、(Wakarmasen kedo...to be safe). Maybe tomii is writing for a newspaper with 分からないが .

Basically, in short, Genki explains it as when you'd like a person to come forth with an answer, where the question is implied rather than you actually asking the question. Like, for example, they give the example that the person said "We have a morning flight and an evening flight [ga/kedo].", instead of say "We have a morning flight and an evening flight, so which do you want?" or something like that. Honestly, looking at it now, I have no idea why I even put it there.

ちょっと適当じゃないそうですね。
