Need help with learning the Japanese writing

Hi. I understand the concept of the three Japanese writing systems but I feel overwhelmed by the fact of learning them all. Also how do you know when you are writing in Japanese when to use the kanji, the hiragana, and the Katakana. Since pretty much all words can be written in each, how do you know which will be correct.

Is there any good web page that can help me understand the concept of writing Japanese verbs? I feel that verbs are a big problem in my writing.

Please let me know because I have been feeling really confused lately.

Hey, man! I know that for foreign foods, names, places, etc you use Katakana. Verbs (at least from what I've seen) have a Kanji "head" and hiragana "end", for example 見る is conjugated as 見ません for (do not watch).

In playing some video games I've seen sumimasen written in katakana as well.

I also have knowledge of Chinese and Chinese writing is all just a matter of memorizing the symbols. Japanese seems much more complex ><.

Is there anyone way to gradually learn writing in Japanese? What is the best way to go about mastering the writing?

This is how I learned it:

Hiragana: used for particles, adjective/verb endings, words that don't have a kanji, etc. (Also, if you don't know the specific kanji that is supposed to be sued, you can use Hiragana instead.)

いい 楽しい 帰る

Katakana: used for foreign words.

オレンジ アルバイト チーズ

Kanji: characters borrowed from chinese. used to write like nouns, adjectives, verbs, and what not. Not all words have a kanji, and if you don't know the kanji, you can write it in Hiragana.

空 話す 忙しい
