So... I have a massively nerdy question... The Deku Tree in Ocarina of Time always refers to himself as WASHI... which obviously means Eagle, but I know that it's probably something elder Japanese men say? Right? Like ending a sentence with JA... RIGHT?! Hahaha, thanks for the help!

半端な勇気 is 'halfhearted courage' or something like that, it implies that it's not real courage/valor/bravery.
じゃね here is slurred じゃない, negating the 半端な勇気, so it's not not real courage... that is, it is real courage. So it's actually a complement, by means of a double-negative.
 
What does 待ってはもらえた mean here ? The author removed subject in his writing so i don't know who's talking about what/who here. Appreciates if somebody could explain this for me.
Story: The Chief Abbot and Vice Abbot of a monastery are trying to sell their priest as slave, in order to make money and reduce cost to maintain their monastery (not sure if these character are evil or not, but from the way they're speaking, i think they're villains and overspent the fund of their monastery >> now they're in debts and have to find illegal ways to make moneys )

待ってもらえた means the speaker was able to stall, or hold off, the action of the person to whom the speaker is referring. It literally means "i was able to receive the waiting of the other person".
The adding of は just adds emphasis the action (i.e. the waiting), usually to the exclusion of other actions. In other words, the person agreed to wait, but that's about all he agreed to do. That's the only concession the speaker received.

That's my interpretation anyway.
 
I'm not sure about the meaning of 適当に in this sentence, hope someone could explain its correct meaning (i guess it means :" I did eating properly" but not sure)
Context: A girl came over to the protagonist room, she complains that his room is dirty and suggest he should clean his room regularly. But the protagonist is busy working at his company recently, so he doesn't has time.
Girl「ていうか、もうちょっと普段から部屋を片付けたらどう？こんなザコ部屋じゃ女の子呼べたりしないでしょ。」
Protagonist「呼ぶような子なんていないよ……。」
むしろ最近は寝に帰ってるだけみたいなもんだしな……風呂は近所の銭湯、飯も外食かコンビニで適当にって感じだし。
 
適当 is one of those unusual words where the textbook definition is "appropriate", but the real world usage of this word tends to mean something like "done with minimal effort", "done without great care", "perfunctory".
So in your sentence above I think I would translate it as "ate out at a restaurant or got food from a convenience store as necessary". Just something to indicate the writer fed him/herself, but without joy or great satisfaction.

Of course it is also used to mean "appropriate", but in the case of your target sentence I think the meaning is more like "perfunctory". He ate as needed, or as usual, but there was nothing special in the eating.

Grammatically, two different interpretations are possible; 1) はじめから modifies 上書きされた and 2) はじめから modifies 呪力はなく. Either way, it means that the grandson's soul doesn't have the cursed energy.

Incidentally, the full sentence clearly shows that the second interpretation is correct; his soul doesn't have cursed energy in the first place.

As for Zen'in Tōji's physical body, Maki didn't feel any cursed energy when she fought with him, so it/he doesn't have cursed energy, either. His body doesn't consume any cursed energy, so it wouldn't be the problem whether it/he has cursed energy or not.

You misinterpreted ハズだった. 器である孫の呪力が尽きた時点で降霊も終わる is the usual ending of this technique. They, maybe including オガミ婆, initially thought so, but actually 孫の魂に呪力はない, therefore 術式は終了する契機を失った. (その肉体は呪力を消費しない is also the reason. Two irregular things happened on the technique. That's why it lost the control.)
