Given that it was obviously a transportation company and 速 isn't an uncommon kanji to see in that context, it never even crossed my mind to google it. Now I see why the license plates from the all say なにわ instead of using kanji.
It says 一新 （いっしん）, which means 'restoration; renewal', suggesting the team will have a whole new start this year. (They currently sit at .500, so maybe they didn't 一新 enough this year.)I have a funny translation request.
