I'm a bit confused with the second half of the second sentence in the following passage. I think I can understand what the speaker is saying, however what is the point of this? Why using a tweezers will make him bleach something after? Or maybe I'm mistaken something?
空いているベッドに彼女を座らせて、棚の中からカット綿とオキシドールを取り出す。本当はピンセットも使うべきなんだろうけど、まあそっちは後からの漂白が面倒だからとりあえずは放置だ。
He/she should have used tweezers, but bleaching (disinfecting) them afterwards is too much of a hassle...
Edit: Oops, didn't see Mike's answer above. Carry on. Nothing to see here.
漂白 is usually not used in that meaning. It's reasonable if he is saying about bandage or something, but ピンセットを漂白する doesn't make much sense. I think the writer just misused the word, and まあそっちは後からの消毒が面倒だからとりあえずは放置だ is what s/he wanted to say.
脱ぐ and 突っ込む means "to undress" and "to play the role of a straight man in comedy (to point out the stupid act/word of a funny man)" there, respectively.
It could be taken as 正解は「どこかで誰かがたまたま死ぬ」でした。
I haven't seen と used like this before - can you tell me its function? (presumably it's listed on goo辞典, but I don't see which one is the right one)
It's the latter. So, is this 「と」 considered an abbreviation of ~というように/~という具合に? Or is this just the explanation of how it functions?
Yes.So it really is just a simple quotation particle? As in the 2nd usage 2 (文や句をそのまま受けて)動作・作用・状態の内容を表す。引用の「と」。「正しい―いう結論に達する」 ?
I think the pattern "~と + adjective" is relatively frequently used.Is this syntax used a lot?
Hi !
I'm trying to translate some japanese trading cards, so first I try to find each character, but there's one I can't find :
The only one I found that looks like the one circled is : リ, but it doesn't make sense, the rest is in hiragana, so why use a katakana while り would suit ?
Here's what I got for the moment :
⚜人物カード
は、いざという
ときにたよ ~ に
なるかも?
What is the missing mystery character ?
Thanks for your help
It is a り and not a katakana リ. It just looks like that due to the font they are using. What is the missing mystery character ?
