Yes, sorry, that is what the sentence is supposed to be. So, could it be something like:
I was hoping [for a story including robots], because the main character was a man who loved his gundam extremely?

That was how I interpreted at first, with アリ being the verb, but then I guess I started overthinking it. Thanks for clearing it up!

I have a question about the 抜かれてドロン part, if I'm understanding correctly 古文書を抜かれて means that 古文書 will be taken and it won't be good for the speaker, and ドロン - to disappear/run away after doing something bad. However I cannot understand does the subject for both of them is the same? Somebody will take the book and disappear?
知らない間に重要な古文書を抜かれてドロンじゃ割にあわないからな

Yes, the agents of 抜く and ドロンする are the same person. It can be rephrased with 抜かれてドロンされちゃ.

Why does "でも、難しくない？" mean, "But, isn't it difficult?" and not "But, it isn't difficult"? Is it just the use of the question mark that changes the meaning? Or is that TaeKim Japanese site lying to me?

なんや expresses that the speaker is complaining, not asking what the addressee is mumbling.
まあええわ is equivalent to まあいいや in standard Japanese.

I don't know what イオ・オニキス状態 refers to, but your translation is not correct anyway, since イオ・オニキス状態での modifies ロボット or the agent of 出し入れ.

If I was marking out for a Japanese wrestler and wanted to say something to him would I use San or sama? Like Shibata-San? Never gonna happen, I'm just curious. And bored lol

What does the それこそ refers to the following dialogue?

十兵衛「穴の吸い込む力が強すぎたんだよ・・・・・」
桔梗「？」
十兵衛「それこそ、そこいらからこの穴は生気を吸い取っていやがる」
十兵衛「だから、入り口付近で入りきらない生気がたまりはじめているんだろう」
十兵衛「まぁ簡単に言えば詰まったってことだな」
Context: the story takes background from 古事記, the part about 千引の石. In the story 千引の石 was destroyed and the living world was turning into the world of dead(黄泉). That's where this dialogue starts, this 穴 is the place where 千引の石 was before.
