Her parents were amazed both 但馬 and 男 (and what they did).お使者の但馬さんも但馬さんなら、その但馬さんにそんな事を頼む男も男だ、と父も母も呆(あき)れていました。
I undestood that it meant that her parents couldn't expect much from a man who used Tajima to intermediate a marriage proposal. Am I wrong?
It's not future tense. It's a rude way of saying 人が馬鹿にする / している. (やがる is a kind of curse word.)And what's the meaning of 人が馬鹿にしやがる? "People will take me for a fool?"
It means 甘い. This やがら is the euphonic change of やがるわ.ちえっ! 女には、甘くていやがら、とおっしゃいました. Could you please explain this 甘くていやがら?
あなた達 would refer to her husband and 但馬, I think. (I don't read the whole novel, though.)The woman is talking to her husband and uses あなた、but then, almost in the end, the repeats あなた達 twice, so, I suppose she is referring to her husband and his friends, is that correct? Because あなた達 is always plural too...

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone had a nice translation for 駄菓子屋. I've come accross small-time candy store, mom and pop candy store, but they all sound a bit silly. If I don't find anything better, I will probably stick with candy shop.
Thank you for your answer Brunom1, but since it is for a tour guide sort of article, I wouldn't want to use anything that sounds too negative. :s

Yeah, your interpretation is correct. He is accepting what happened (probably unwillingly).
