Thanks for the help thus far.

I'm working on a fictional pokemon species that combines the phoenix with a dragon. I know I'll use ryuu for dragon in the species' Japanese name, but I don't know whether to combine it with an element from fushichoh or one from hoh-oh. Which word for phoenix would combine better with ryuu?

"Hōō" and "fushichō" are not considered the same creatures. The former refers to a Chinese-origin mythological bird, and the latter is the translation of phoenix in western mythology. Originally, "hō" is male hōō, and "ō" is female hōō.

As for "fushichō", "fushi" and "chō" mean "immortal" and "bird", respectively. Furthermore, since these meanings are provided by kanji 不死 and 鳥, the romaji (or also kana) "fushi" and "chō" have other meanings, thus, "fushi-ryū" can mean "joint dragon" other than "immortal dragon", and similarly, "chō-ryū" can mean "super dragon" or "long dragon" other than "bird dragon".

Its just a guy talking on a phone with someone not sure what the context is exactly. Any ideas how to interpret this?

It's old men's way of saying いくらか（＝少し）あせっていたんだろうなあ.

I'm unsure of my translation of this sentence:

街を歩いてたら
ちんちくりんな
女の子が突然
声を掛けてきた

I get: "A short girl was suddenly greeted when she was walking down the street." Is this correct? Or could it possibly be: "I was suddenly greeted by a short girl when I was walking down the street."?

This is the very first sentence in the comic and the panel shows a girl on a sidewalk.

The latter. They dropped the subject for the action 街を歩く because it's implied it's the writer from context. In any case it CANNOT be the short girl as she is the subject for the action 声をかける.

Could anyone help me decipher these lines? Any help is much appreciated. Here's my best shot at them:

1. でいれがいきとごいてなくて - Eh, I'm fairly sure I'm completely off with this. Just doesn't make sense. ;_;
2. こえんぎゃなさらずにお茶どしょうくじゃめしあがっていてくださいな - Wow, yeah. So again, I am completely wrong.
3. 生きていたこと後悔するくらい恐ろしい目に合わせてあるな - I'm a little more confident on this line, but there's still a couple of mistakes in here, I'm sure.
4. やっぱり言えないよ感がするわ - Hmm... I'm not sure about this either.

My guesses:

1. 出入りが行き届いてなくて
2. ご遠慮なさらずにお茶と食事を召し上がってくださいな
3. I think the last is 目に合わせてやる
4. やっぱりいやな予感がするわ (good vocab to know - fictional characters are constantly having いやな予感 all over the place)

嫌な予 is to have a bad feeling about something, (嫌な予感がする), right?

Also, I don't really understand this line: 生きていたこと後悔するくらい恐ろしい目に合わせてやるわ. In particular, the '目に合わせてやるわ'. Does this have a particular meaning?

That's 嫌な(bad) + 予感(feeling / foreboding / premonition), not 嫌な予 + 感.

～目に合う is a set phrase, meaning "to go through a bad experience", as in 痛い目に合う, 散々な目に合う. 恐ろしい目に合わせてやる is causative of it, meaning "I'll make them have a frightful experience".

Okay, I've found a few more that I'm stuck on.

1. 皆さんにあって、俺をいだいたいっています。 Not sure about that second half.
2. こんなところにわざわざ予定たたいって。 Eh, not sure about most of this line.
3. そう言わずわずすぐ広まるものですよ。 Same with this.
4. みんなが？？？。。。とてもすごい私達のママよ。Couldn't catch what's being said after みんなが.

I can't say I'm familiar with '寄っていただいて'. It's the て form of '寄る', right? But what's that 'いただいて' mean? :emoji_blush:

て form of いただく , (would expect this to be followed by something like ありがとうございます). It's sort of indicating that by coming the people in question have done the speaker a favour. Roughly equivalent in tone to something like "Thank you all for taking the time to come here today...".

I would say 僕の考えてることが分かってるようなふり（を）しないで. The pronoun こと is used in this case.
