I can have a stab at this if thats ok :

Origami is a very relaxing hobby. I love it because it reminds me of my mother. I have many fond childhood memories of making origami with her.

折り紙はとてものんびりな趣味です。私は折り紙を折ったら母を覚えているので折り紙が一番好きなんです。子供ころ母と一緒に折り紙を折っている懐かしい記憶がたくさんあります。


From when I was young I have been interested in Japan, particularly Japanese culture, probably because in primary school (elementary school) we were taught a lot about Japan because the school had strong ties to a school in Nara

私の小学校は奈良の学校の関係があるから、私達はいろいろな日本のことが習われたんです。だから私は小さい時から日本が興味を持っていて、特に日本の文化です。

I don't even like you.
I don't even know Mary.
I don't even what kind of person you're becoming.

Like that. Is there any way?

メアリのことすら／さえ知らない (not even modifies "Mary")

This one is quite confusing to me.
I am trying to translate an NC-17 doujin, so I cannot post the picture from where this is. Basically, a teacher is talking to a student wearing a catgirl outfit and says "Your outfit is incomplete because there is no tail." The girl responds thus:
これは出来ル"メ"
I was about to translate all but the last word. Kore wa shuttai (this is an occurance, more or less.) However, nowhere was I able to find anything that told me about the last two characters; I'm sure they're nonstandard Japanese. Wiki's list of kanji has nothing like them, and the katakana list states that ru (the first character) and me (the second one) never have vocalized marks behind them (the two marks; I made it by using the regular katakana and adding and english quotation mark behind it.)
I do know that the Japanese substitute the r sound for l, so I'm guessing that the first one might be lu. However, I'm thuroughly lost as to the second one.

You might misread the last two characters. You can post just the words part or 吹き出し(dialogue balloon).

No, that's exactly what's there.
I suppose I could skip the last word, but it wouldn't make sense in the story.
Then again, this being an NC-17 doujin, nobody really pays attention to the dialogue, do they?

I'm pretty sure 出来 is でき or the stem of the verb 出来る[dekiru] and you'd misread the 送り仮名 part. That's why I wanted to read the words itself.;-)

It's most likely これは出来ルナ.

As Toritoribe says, we'd need context to understand what is really being said by the girl. Why don't you post the dialogue and describe the situation? Or like you say, it is porn and who cares about the dialogues...lol
 

As stated before, I can't really post the dialogue because it's in an NC-17 doujin. The words are over someone naked. As described before, the situation is a teacher talking to her student. The teacher is upset because the student is in a catgirl outfit without a tail.

I chose to skip that for now and come back later. However, I did run into that first letter again. Here, however, it is followed by で and not メ".
 
燎原の火は消さねばなるまい、小さな炎あるうちにな。

What does this mean? Does it mean if I don't put out the fire, it will become flame or, it means I must put out the flame will it is still small?
 
Hi, I'm fairly new to hiragana and katakana. I don't know any kanji yet.
But I thought I'd start with a short, easy sentence to read from a newly released game.

I got 'omaeniha' and because I know not much about grammar, which is probably why this is wrong. But when I tried to translate it I got

' depending on the others kindness, two..'

I'm not sure how people can tell which is a set word for this sentence because.. well nearly every sound means a word.. and :S I'm not sure how to separate these words in a sentence.
I'm also using this to translate - freedict

If anyone could help me out with this : and point me in a direction it'd be great.
 
That's not a sentence but a phrase.

おまえ[omae]: second person pronoun, "you"
に[ni]: particle(location/direction marker)
は[wa]: particle(topic marker)
The pronunciation of は is "wa" when used as the particle.

The meaning of the phrase "omae ni wa" depends totally on the context. We can't get it just from that.

I understand now, but I'm not sure what the word 'marker' means.

And for this I got (missing out the three symbols I'm unfamiliar with)
Question marks represent the unknown syllables.
'?-?-a-ru-n-ji-pa-ta?'

I'd be really grateful if you would be able to help me out with this, if not translate it. be able to help me identify the two I couldn't recall. Thank you.

Get a Hiragana/Katakana chart. If you don't have one already, how are you learning them?
 
That doesn't look right to me.
1. The line on the left is smalller than the line in the image.
2. The two lines on the right in the image are on the same level and the same length. In kokoro, they're on different levels and different lengths.
 
I've got both charts, I just can't identify those two symbols.
The first one, looks like nothing on my charts.
although the second one does vaguely look like ka.

I learnt, well. I can remember a few, from hiragana.
But I did only start last week.
I was hoping to read some basic things, but i can never get the hang of grammar, because. to be frank, I've never been good at English grammar ^_^
So I still don't understand the structure of things. any help would be appreciated. I don't want people to translate stuff for me. just to see if i got it right really :
so thanks for all the help.

and if there's a good site to learn grammar for idiots haha, please link me to it.

Get " a dictionary of Japanese grammar" serious. it tells you everything regarding to Japanese grammar. very comprehensive.
