Need a word or phrase translated?

I had uploaded this book in my webspace, but yesterday I realized that I have long deleted it. I will soon upload it again, and it will be available in my forum signture. I am going to inform you when I upload it.

I have language bar, and I can switch to Japanese in it. But I can find a way to pop up that IME keyboard. Can anyone help me please?

I want to use "Japanese boxed-input" like in this link:

There's no "Handwriting Recognization" in the drop-down menu, when click the "Add..." button in this window.

Yeah, it was available once, but I accidently deleted it. Now I have to browse my DVD archeive and find it...
Once I upload it, I will send a PM to you, and you will be able to download it from my signture.

EDIT: I have updated my signure, but I can't see it in the forum. There's no problem in the user control panel, I can preview and save it without any error message.

The reason you didn't see it may be because signatures sometimes disappear on all of your posts except your first one on a page. Since you have a post above, your signature isn't appearing on this post. I'm not sure why that happens sometimes and not others, though. It used to be more consistent (as in all the time). Not sure if that's what you're referring to, though.

I guess different operational systems have different IME systems. Another thing that is worth trying is to use IME pad for the Chinese IME.

Either put your image link between "" tags, or use the little "Insert Image" icon on the frame of this textarea. It looks like two mountains and a sun on a yellow background.

In order to use this IMG tags, you should have your image on a webserver. Either upload you image to your webspace (if you have), or use a free image storing service. For instance, I am using ImageBot extension of Firefox. It stores files on its fileservers. After installing that extension, just drag and drop your image files into textareas, it will automatically genarate a URL for your image.

When you drag and drop your image, it generates an HTML script like this:

Note that, sometimes this doesn't work with extended text controls and rich textareas. Just click the "A/A" button on the upper left corner of this frame to switch to the standard textarea.

So, my language bar looks like the one above. If yours also looks like that and has "IME Pad", then, all you need is a left click on it.

I even tried that handwriting input.

It is hard to translate that without context. Is this a reaction by someone to something? Without any context, I would translate that "I can't stand it!", but it would really help to know a little more about the situation to give you an appropriate translation.

It is originally "堪らない (tamaranai)".
Means: (1) intolerable, unbearable, unendurable, (2) cannot help (doing), cannot but do, anxious to do

I think it is a way of speaking mostly encountered in anime. Different characters have different ways of speaking. Some add "-ssu" ending, some use to much "desu" or "dattebayou (Naruto)".

No, this is not correct, it is not at example of weird anime speak, unlike Naruto's dattebayo, which certainly is. っす instead of です is pretty commonly used by teenage boys, etc. There's also that ウイシュ guy on TV who's name is escaping me who is making it his act to some extent...

Hello everyone

I am trying to figure out how to use は and が properly.

For example, if I wanted to say "In the past, I didn't understand much English", would it be in Japanese 昔は英語があんまりわからなかった

Is that correct? If not, please correct me.

Any reply will be greatly appreciated.

は vs. が is an extremely complicated topic and requires a lot more explanation than a few forum posts, but here is guide that may help you get started getting a handle on them.

This is the basics , but search around a bit and you should find some more advanced advice on the same site.

I found "りゅうぐう" part in the dictionary and it means "Palace of the Dragon King", but couldn't find its full form.
The story is about a man travelling to the bottom of the see and coming across a princess there.

Some sentences and with this word. Can you translate it please?

たろう
I couldn't found this word in my dictionary (Wakan), this word addresses to our hero in the story. Is it a name, a job, or something else? By the way, our hero is a fisherman.

The suffix "jyoo" in this word means Castle or Palace.

"Uch" here is used as a conjunction. It roughly corresponds to English "while."

"Taro" is a name.

- Did he say what is this?
