My mother was 58 years old when she died.
One day, she appeared in my dream.
We were chatting and laughing, having good time together. Then, all of sudden, she said,
"I have to go back".
"Where are you going?" I said.
"Upstairs" she replied.
(me) "I'll come with you."
(mother) "No, you can't"
(me) "Why?"
(mother) "Because, you don't have a ticket."
(me) "A ticket? Where can I get one?"
(mother) "From the man over there."
I rushed to the man and said,
"1 ticket to upstairs, please"
As I was talking to the man, my mother was walking up the stairs.
Then the stairs disappeared.
I was calling my mother. She just smiled and said, "Good bye".
Then I woke up.

I miss my mother, but at the same time, I feel she is doing fine up there.

i recently lost my father, and we were really close. i miss him so much. he was too young to die.

Very nice story ralian. Thanks for sharing that. I recently lost my brother to pancreatic cancer last September (he was 48) and he passed from this life in my arms. I'm sure he also is doing just fine "up there."

Although it has never happened to me, I do believe that relatives and loved ones do visit us in our dreams shortly before, or just after, their departure from this plane of existance.

I lost my grandpa in October. He was old, and was very sick(Alzheimers). He couldn't even remember who I was, which was very sad. Before he died, he said, "Visit me sometime, Thor".
Wow, just made me cry.
I'm glad you have relief that your mother is ok in the next plane of existence.

I've lost a good number of friends over the years but I often think back and reflect upon those times we spent together. I was lucky to have had the chance to know them and even now, many years later I still recall them fondly. I know that sounds so cliche' but you know what? It's true.
