I'm on my fourth visit to Thailand.
So far I can say it's hot very hot and too hot to go cycling.
Here are some pictures of everyday life.

This is a street vendor how they sell food on the streets. I usually meet up with him every morning after the temple. Sadly I don't buy his food.

This is basil fried rice with egg and minced pork. Actually look pretty good. It cost 40 baht or $3.30 cents. This is how many Thai people live.

He seems friendly even though you're not helping him earn a living. What do you mean "after the temple"? What's going on at the temple every morning?

Oh after the Temple of meditation of the monks. This time of year is the introduction for the young kids to join the monks for career as a monk or at least until they're about 18 years of age here they live on the premises. I don't think there's no older than 12 years of age.
I come here every morning have a 7-Eleven coffee sit down and sometimes people come and talk to me they mostly speak English.
It's a good way to start the morning and start the day off. Have you posted more pictures on here I'll be here for 3 months.

April 2nd Thursday.
We went to CHAO PRA YA RIVER.
Having lunch to the river. Restaurant name is Pro Pla. Sadly the food was so so.
Here are some pictures.

Shrimp fried rice was ok . That's a plate for 2. Fresh cucumbers, quite tasty. Sponge Ground Soup with shrimp and Thai mushrooms. I thought it tasted ok, but nothing to write home about. Cost 800 baht including 3 thai beers. That's 3300 yen.
We also had Horse Fish. It's a deep fried minnow like fish.

IMG_20260401_152701.webp

This type of minnow type fish goes well with beer.

The two men in the boat and go fishing and whether or not fishing they're actually swimming in that area.

IMG_20260401_153111.webp

Not too sure what type of houseboat this is maybe a fishing boat or a tour boat.

IMG_20260401_153135.webp

I didn't see any 3 ft size catfish in the river.

April 2 nd Thursday.
Here the children are being entered in the life of a Buddhist Monk. Usually under the age of maybe 10.
I was at the ceremony and the parents were there was being indoctrinated well I don't know if indoctrinated but entered the life of a Buddhist monk it was very heart warming . To see the parents with joy in the heart. and all the food but I didn't really take too many pictures of that was given to the temple monks which was enough really for making a week. This is the Thai tradition once a year around 1st of April with a new children enter Buddhist Hood. Although it's much more common out in the countryside I'm in Bangkok and this is kind of like the outskirts of Bangkok where I'm at but the temple is very well known and I actually come here every morning drink some coffee and I don't know just talk to the locals are they talk to me actually.

Soon l left the ceremony.

Today's April 3rd Friday.
Another hot day in Bangkok Thailand.
Today we go Nokhon Nayok, a prefecture about a 2 hour drive.
We went shopping for cat grass. We stopped at a new restaurant called Nam Lai, a family owned restaurant that provided home cooking meals. The best even with organic rice
Cost 800 baht for all this food and 3 beers.

IMG_20260402_135331.webp

white rice, omelette with greens, pork soup which was fkn good, tuna fish ( spicy) with vegetables.
And 3 beers.

IMG_20260402_135929.webp

Looks very yummy! The chef clearly knows what they're doing! Also do they have any options without rice, eggs, green beans, corn, beans in general, and spinach?(sorry I have this thing with textures and smells but it looks sooooo yummmyyyy 🥲)

It is true they know what they're doing when it comes to cooking real organic Thai food.
This restaurant is actually way out in the countryside so you don't really feel any commercial . Fast food way of cooking.
It takes time in every dish comes after one dish after another so it's not all put on the table at one time.
In all honesty I didn't hear more a little longer than two years now on and off that is but this place needs the best I mean really the best and we've been to some of the finest restaurants here both in Bangkok and outside Bangkok.
We've been disappointed two times about the food at certain restaurants.
Since it is so hot we like to get out of the house and just travel to 3 hours at a time just to find a restaurant yeah can you believe that it's true very very true.
I'll be posting more pictures on this post of our travels here in Thailand.

Woahhhh that sounds so nice! But it's sad you've been disappointed twice… but at least you got a new experience! You learn something new everyday even if it could be bad! Excited to see those photos btw(by the way)! Hope you have a good time!

April 5th Sunday morning sitting out in front of 7-Eleven having my morning coffee.
Church service this morning after church service that everyone gets together open up the big tables bring out all the food yeah this is
something about Thai churches after service it doesn't happen every week maybe once a month that all the people bring in like a pot pot roast potluck pot luck food and it's pretty good stuff.

IMG_20260402_152344.webp

This Temple is across the street from the restaurant that we ate at they're having a what we would probably consider yard sale but many food vendors people selling whatever they can sell to make the living it's really amazing in this country because there's no real welfare system you work are you starve that's the way it is in this country.

few more pictures.
Once you get out of the city of Bangkok that becomes pretty rural and I do mean rural and get to see people live in bamboo bungalows bamboo huts and they shave the rainwater and big barrels I guess they purified somehow and that's how they drink the water I don't know if there's any water system public water systems.

There's so much weird looking food but to me it's weird looking.

This is how they shell the food open there luckily I never got what they call Bangkok diarrhea.
Actually I don't need Street food.

IMG_20260402_152457.webp

Can't really see the pictures when I'm posting I don't know what that is maybe shrimp not too for sure.

April 6th Monday
Today the temperature will reach over 100 degrees here in Bangkok.
Last night we went to CAFE X and had dinner with friends.
Here are some pictures.

IMG_20260405_212610.webp

There's an indoor restaurant but the restaurant itself is all outdoors really cool.

IMG_20260405_201127.webp

These are the ducks that we're feeding and they're pretty aggressive an actually eat the food out of your hand.

IMG_20260405_193544.webp

This is part of the landscape.

IMG_20260405_192935.webp

Enjoyed some live music.

IMG_20260405_191555.webp

Yeah that's a pretty friendly duck.

IMG_20260405_180632.webp

A little more landscape.

IMG_20260405_180608.webp

This is how everybody eats outside.

That's the cool off around 7:30 at night time so it's not too bad but I always wondered how they make arrangements to eat if it's raining but they do have an indoor dining.
Staff is very friendly I mean really friendly they're always there to serve you ice.
Okay next post I'll post the the food stay tuned.

Okay it's food time. The approximate cost for all the food and drinks I'd put around $100 for 4 people. There's no way in the states that you can eat all this for such a low price I don't believe so and probably even then Great Britain.

IMG_20260405_185734.webp

not sure what you call this but it has some kind of noodles in it and some meat and lettuce actually was pretty good very spicy too by the way.

IMG_20260405_183339.webp

This one is cheese with spinach it's actually one of my favorites and it is so delicious but you don't really get too much of a portion though.

IMG_20260405_182923.webp

IMG_20260405_182921.webp

This is some kind of sauce it's kind of a suit type base sauce you can eat it as such or you put it over the fish or anything that you really want it's kind of spicy but it has its own unique punch to it.

IMG_20260405_182918.webp

This is one of the house specialties it's a pineapple fried rice. This one cost about $10. It has shrimp and squid and I have no idea what else is in it but it's pretty tasty different when you haven't fried rice with pineapple in it but it's the house specialty and it seems like while I'm walking around the same people eating seems to be on every table.

IMG_20260405_182914.webp

This dish is the most common throughout Thailand basically it's scrambled eggs with spinach in it and sometimes they put some mince pork in it, a favorite of Thailand . The flavor depends where about in Thailand how it taste it really varies from northern Thailand to Southern Thailand.

where it served really delicious and it seems like whenever we go out to a restaurant we order it

This is what they call a snake fish it's kind of a spongy fish when it's fresh and hot and I must have met his very delicious the next picture I I show is the sauce that you can put on the fish and it's really brings out the flavor of the sauce and the fish itself and there's some kind of leaf that you wrap it up in we also have that type of leaf in Japan.

IMG_20260405_182918.webp

Here's a better picture of the pineapple fried rice you can see the squid on top and some shrimp and a whole bunch of stuff that they put into it.

IMG_20260405_181414.webp

Here's a better picture of the snake fish. It's a very common fish throughout Thailand but in Bangkok it's pretty expensive but when you go out to the countryside you can get it for less than $6 and they're a little bigger than this also and they're much more pressure too by the way.

IMG_20260405_183357.webp

Eating Thai food just makes everyone happy. All four of us get together a couple times a month maybe three times or whenever we feel like getting together for beer and some Thai food. Had a good evening and the food was great and definitely coming back to this place again.

Today April 9th Thursday.
The temperature here is reaching 100° and I'm telling you is too hot to do anything.
Most people will go to the malls that are lucky to get out of the heat wave.
For me I'll just turn this ceiling fan on in a floor fan.
The air pollution in Bangkok is really bad and when you go up north it's extremely very bad because they're burning the fields I don't know why they do that but they do that.

Here are some morning pictures I took at the temple.

You're the young monks that joined the Monkhood. I said once a day in the morning.
Because of the rage they're young so I don't know if they're . Eat again later in the day but basically the monks are allowed to eat lunch today that's it.
Today I sat down with the lady whose child entered Buddha hood she was very happy and she spoke some English so that was really nice conversation we had together.

IMG_20260409_072043.webp

It seems like you're going to have a ceremony later in the day I didn't stick around so I don't know.

It's not yet summer is it? Is it normal to be so hot now? Is it expected to get hotter?

It will be this hot until June.
The air pollution is really bad this year and what the heat waves. The temperature really enters your body really bad. I do a lot of cycling today this time of year it really hits me pretty hard. In Japan recycled from April to actually till the end of October when it's hot but this weather in Thailand it is really really hot.
Had to drink a lot of water that's for sure I don't drink soda at all or any sports shoes just water only. It's actually very easy to leave 2 kilos in one day. But the type people they really looked at me seriously they really love to eat. I think that's all they do all day eat and sleep.

This picture is next to the American embassy in Bangkok which I visited yesterday I got to go back in the middle of this month.
IMG_20260408_165236.webp

This is the queen of Thailand. I. They will actually throw you in jail if you insult the king and queen.
IMG_20260408_134330.webp

had a barbecue here the food was okay
The beef is marinated so it was pretty shocked and kind of delicious but I think it gave me the Bangkok . Diarrhea

April 10th Friday here's some more pictures of the Buddhist monk ceremony.

IMG_20260410_072750.webp

Maybe this is some kind of bell that they ring from some kind of ceremony.
