my best friends wife is pregnant!!

I want desperately to send her a letter in Japanese congratulating her on her pregnancy and to tell her that I support them. They are also making me the godfather of their child and I would like to thank her for that as well. I know a little bit of japanese, only enough to know how little I know to be honest. I would appreciate any and all help you guys can give me with this as I know a straight english-japanese wont suffice, because of context and because there are phrases in Japanese that I do not know that might be necessary. Arigato Gozaimasu everybody!

A few things

I feel it is safe to assume that if you are best friends with this person, that you have a common language between you and him. So why not write the letter so that he can understand it, and ask him to read it to his wife also.

you might get more attention if you post this in the learning Japanese forum.

I would help if I could but I do not speak much Japanese myself yet. I hope you find a solution ^^
