Mext Undergrad Scholarship - a few questions (eligibility, study areas...)

Hello! I'm currently a yr 11 student in Australia and I plan on applying for the Monbukagakusho undergrad scholarship for 2016.
Starting to prepare early and I have a few questions regarding application and other things:

I'm a dual citizen of Australia and Russia; do I put down both of my nationalities, or just Australia? (I think that your nationality has to have diplomatic relations with Japan...and Russia doesnt)

I've also skipped grade 1 due to me moving from Russia to Australia (I moved in December and in Russia, school starts in September, so I only did 3 months of yr 1) - Will this count as a skipped grade? Apparently you have to complete all your schooling...

For the field of study specialised in Highschool, would that be your best subject or something? We get to choose 6 subjects and they can be a mix of anything so I'm not really specialised in anything I guess...

also; I want to do Social Sciences and Humanities A and I don't know what major! I was personally thinking of Philosophy or Psychology because they're good undergrad majors for Law. Can anybody recommend me a popular major in that field or some description of the ones listed? What majors do Tokyo universities offer?

And.... Last question, I swear! I'm ungodly horrible at maths and only started to learn Kanji and basic grammar; (English is my best subject XD) should I focus more on maths or Japanese? Has anybody gotten through with a not-so-good maths result?

I think it would be better to put Australia but just check with the embassy.

When I filled my application I put all the 6 subjects just to be safe.

Social studies concentrates more on Japanese (or so I've heard) so concentrate more on Japanese but don't forget to do atleast some basic maths.
The Japanese paper is divided into 3 parts and Part A is the most basic. It was furigana (the writing above Kanji) so I suggest concentrating on grammar more.
I've heard that the grammar level is N4 in Part A ...

I have a friend who did good in English, bad in maths and okay in Japanese ... or something like that.
And she had her interview.

Also in case you have any doubts, it's always better to contact the embassy.
