MEXT Scholarship (Graduate Students) 2017

Guys!!!
I'm so excited and relieved now...
Today I got a call from Embassy of Japan and been informed that I was placed at Waseda University, which is my first choice.
I really wish everyone good luck and I believe that if you have come so far, you will all reach your dreams

I'm in the English MBA program so maybe we will be course mates , I think Frida also applied for the English MBA program.
 
I went to the Embassy today to receive the final result gracefully I was placed in my 1st choice, Kyoto University! Thanks God the wait is over, I couldn't wait one more day.

I really hope everyone who have come this far receive the same positive result from their embassies.
 
I'm almost, almost calling the local embassy to check whether they have news. All kinds of things go through your head in a moment like this. Is my application OK? Has my potential adviser backed off from advising me? Can jet fuel melt steel beams?

I just wanted to share with you the good news I received today: I have been selected as a MEXT (Monbukagakusho) scholarship student!

I truly hope that everyone from this community receives their good news as soon as possible.
 
Hey I'm checking in on the forum to congratulate everyone who has gotten their final acceptance and placements. I'm soo excited because I got into my first and only choice which was a private university. There was a lot of anxiety and second guessing since there was a small possibility of not getting this far due to the reported disfavor for placing students in privates unis. But i'm through! Thanks mostly to this forum and everyone in it for the information rich discussions! Let's do this!

Congratulations to everyone who got final selection results! I receiverd e-mail from my embassy - i'm officially placed in OsakaU! Those who still in wait, good luck - I hope everyone gets in university that they want to be placed at. Now I need to inform porofessors from other universities about results

The final notification came for me as well today! Departing this April to conquer Osaka!

Congratulations everyone and good luck for who is waiting , but I'm sure luck is unnecessary because you're all going to be ok

So many notifications! I'm still waiting on mine from the Embassy, but fingers crossed it'll be soon based on all of these replies.

Congrats everyone! And to all of us in private unis... doesn't all that worrying seem silly now? haha

Hey guys, I reallize this might not be a good place to ask, but... anyone know of a good online japanese teacher I can contact for classes while we wait to go to Japan?

I recently moved to, like, NOWHERE, and there are no schools, communities, nothing where I can practice the little Japanese I know, and I don't want to forget it.

I think registering on Japaneasy will be a good idea. You can arrange online classes via Skype. Also try 'imiwa?' app on your ios or android device. It's a very useful app to learn Japanese.

Hello, this is my first post in this forum.

I wanted to congratulate everyone who got the final confirmation from the embassy. I also got mine today. I'm going to enter the Master's course in the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences of UTokyo. I also applied for the dormitories in Komaba. Anyone else going there?
