I'm still waiting for my ticket
I've heard from other people that usually people go through German. My embassy already asked me if going through German is ok, haha. Maybe they have some agreement with Lufthansa or something

That's possible :D Flights from Warsaw with Aeroflot, Emirates or Qatar airways are way cheaper than with Lufthansa.

I'm goiing to TUFS too🙂

Are you going to have your 4 year study there or just prep. year?

Has anyone applied for the scholarship going for a communications approach?
I have been reading the forums and I see almost everyone from an engineer post-graduate program.

Thanks!

Hi,
I'm going to Todai for Media & Communication studies. Not sure that's exactly what you meant by 'communications approach', though)

I got the undergraduate scholarship, and I'd like to go for something like Media and Communication as well, if it's possible. :)

Hi,

I want to ask if anyone is going to study BA in Japanese language , international relation or media and communication? because i want to know if it worth to study that in japan? and which university?

Thanks Hebi.

Yeah, Media and Communications is what I meant.

Hey there! I'm a student who's wishing to study abroad in Japan soon, as I am going to apply for the first time, could anyone give me some tips on the test and the interview stages? I plan to study Japanese for about 2 or 3 years and I'm wondering if that'll be enough to get me into the scholarship for a scholarship for a specialized training college. I plan to take advanced math courses in my later college years and since I'll be tested in Japanese, English and Mathematics I think I'll be fine.
EDIT: I plan to go to HAL and am wondering if I can apply to all three of their locations.

Thank you for welcoming us, Mitch2526! :) I already joined the AFSJ FB page. I'll be arriving in October. See you soon!

Momotakeshi, congrats!

I've heard Waseda is a very good university for Social Studies.
I'm planning to try out for that same university this year for International Relations also for the masters course. You'll got there first under a research program type of scholarship?

Can you give me some tips about when you started to contact the professors and all.

Again congrats!

Are you going to GSAPS? I've applied for the university nomination for the masters program at GSAPS this fall. (for the MEXT scholarship I mean)

Hello Sanos,

thank you. :)Yes, I am under monbusho's research category. when I applied for waseda, they told me that I don't have to contact the professors directly because I have to send my application documents to the center for international education (if i remember it correctly?) and not to the professors. the Center will be the one to process my papers and university placement. But as a form of courtesy, I also decided to send the professors through email my CV, proposal and letter of intent stating my interest to have them as my adviser. Some of them would reply, but most of them would just forward your email to the international center. good luck! :)

Momotakeshi, I think I know someone from there.
By the way when will you find out where you will stay?
Are you a scholar through embassy recommendation?
We want to contact more scholars. There might be things you need here that we can assist you with.
Don't hesitate to ask us anything. :)

WOw awesome! And did you apply through university nomination? Because right now I'm waiting for my result, but it looks like you're already admitted. So you must have applied through a different process..?

Thanks a lot for the info momotakeshi.

Please keep us updated with your experience ñ_ñ

Hello everyone,

I want to apply for the MEXT scholarship this year. I need your help and advices to fill the application form: My question is what is the difference between 'research student' and 'master's degree student'. Actually, i have an engineer degree in software engineering. and i want to continue my studies and apply for a phd position in a japanese university. but i think that it would be better for me to apply for a master of research and than apply for a phd. what do you think ? . So i don't know which type of courses i have to choose: research student or master's degree courses ?

thank you very much in advance for your answers
