Oops, so many questions ... Sorry but you are the first Brazilian who want to take this examination.
 
Hi,I am Haya from Jordan and my dream is studying in Japan so I would like to apply for MEXT scholarship for undergraduate next year (I am still in school). I am interested in anime and manga and I want to study art or animation but these fields are not existed in the scholarship so I think about studying Japanese language and literature in Japan.
*What your opinion about this field?
*about exams I saw the previous exams and I found the math is very difficult is it important for acceptance?
*I am studying japanese here in Jordan and I am in level 3 from 6 levels. Do you think these enough for accept me?
*How I should do also to achieve my dream and studying in Japan?
*My last Q how many student they take every year?

you only need to submit attachment if you have sufficient knowledge of english or if your studies are in english

I think there was one more a few pages back, but he hasn't posted in a while. I have no idea how many try for the scholarship every year.

Soo how will you study for the upcomming tests. Will you do english and japanese or just english tests?

I also had sent my application for PhD. I am Samik, from India. You can find previous years question paper here: Government-sponsored

This will give you an idea about how to study for the exams. Regarding your second point of studying Japanese, I think , its written in the application form whether your Japanese marks count or not. In India, only the marks of the English exam is taken into account. They don't count the Japanese marks. Check the application form regarding Japanese exam......
 
Hi everyone! I have a question for the 16-year curriculum requirement for the Research Student category application. In my country, the total number of years for us to accomplish a college (Bachelor of Arts/Science) degree is 14 years, so I have to take 2 years of additional studies to comply. I am currently enrolled in a regular graduate program and already on my second year. However I am just a part-time graduate student (6 units per sem only instead of the full-time 12 units of subjects) since I am also working. Will these 2 additional years still be counted? Thank you so much! :-)
 
Woah! I thought we have to wait for how many days to get the notification. But when I visited the embassy's website, I have read that we will receive notifications if we passed the application process on June - July. Haha. So everyone, RELAX. :)

When was the deadline to send in your application in your country?
I have tried to go through the whole thread here, but I have not seen many people who are applying for the Postgraduate scholarship here.
Is there anyone except me that is applying for that?
I have several questions to those people:
  • In the Application (Annex) Form, when listing down universities, have you listed only the names of the universities you want to get into or specific graduate schools?
  • Under the same question - the name of the professor - is it the professor you previously contacted or should contact and he would supposedly be your mentor and help you with your research studies?
  • Under the same question - Receiving Admission - is it fine if all three options you circle Not yet acquired, as the deadlines to enter any university you want was passed, but you are planning to apply in Period II for the October 2013 entrances? Can you put that as a reason or you should have applied to your desired universities before you applied for this scholarship?
  • Recommendation letter - I only have one original copy of the recommendation letter that my Japanese professor wrote, but I saw that you also have to have 2 more copies of it. How can I do that, when I couldn't even see the letter she wrote, as it is now sealed and signed across?

Hi, Aninasan! The deadline of our submission was last May 28, 2012. How about you? Hmm.. I'm applying for the Undergraduate category. For your other questions, I guess you can ask the Japanese Embassy in your place. And you can photocopy the documents that needs to have extra copies.

Yeah cobiewankenobi. I was kinda nervous that I won't pass the document screening. Whew! Thank God! Thank you cobiewankenobi. I hope that you'll be notified too! When did you pass your application?
