MEXT Recipient Transferring Schools

Hello,
Has anyone out there transferred schools once becoming a MEXT Recipient?(pursuing a transfer in the research student phase)
I am not currently getting very coherent information from the school where I was nominated to go (by MEXT), the school I am hoping to transfer to, nor the consulate that nominated me for the scholarship.
I am confused about the order of procdures concerning taking the entrance exams at both schools and applying for a transfer through the MEXT office.
Hearing about your past experiences would help!

I have no experience in this. I would like to hear from people with this experience. From what I heard is that it has become harder (the last 2 years) to change Universities after being placed even if you do it between for example masters and doctorate. I just wonder: if you wanted a certain school, then why didn't you state so in your preference? If you wait until MEXT places you (which costs them a lot of effort), they will most likely not be very happy to change you to another university.
Before you try to do this procedure, please consider if it is really necessary for you to change universities. Most universities selected by MEXT are of decent or better level. Don't be blinded by rankings and school names and look at the kind of education you will receive.

Of course I stated my 1st choice school in the application but that is not where they placed me. My advisor at the school where MEXT placed me is also encouraging me to pursue a transfer because that advisor is leaving the program, at the end of my research period term. Thus the desire to transfer, to 1st choice school.

hey did you have any luck with transfer information? how did you go about it. i would also like to transfer

I don't have experience but my advisor is with multiple universities and told me I could apply to the entrance exam of all of them and simply enter whichever one accepted me for my Master's.

I assume you can do this as well, just apply to the entrance exam of your first choice, pass, and then enter that university as a Master's student.
