that's the thread for research and graduate so for people applying to study master's in japan. i made this one specifically for the japanese study, which is a one year thing during undergrad.

This thread seems pretty dead, but I'll just post anyway

I just got an email saying that I've been nominated by the university in Japan and that MEXT should be giving the final decision in June!
Not gonna lie I'm slightly worried will I even be able to enter the country in September if Japan still has the same restrictions as now...

Actually I got confused, the message I got in March was that I got recommended by my city's consulate lol. They told me I still have two screenings to go, one from the embassy and the final one from MEXT. This is so much waiting lol and i don't even know the timeline.

I heard that there might be a chance not being chosen if you only pass 1st screening but not 2nd one, people from the consulate told me if you pass the 2nd screening from the embassy then it's basically a go. At least in Canada

It's kinda tiring when we have to wait for the call of the test and interview, and then the result of first screening. Now it's the result of second screening.

But my friend who received this scholarship through the embassy track a few years ago got the final result in July, I wonder if it's going to take that long around this time too

So you were already nonimated by Ochanomizu uni? That's great! My teacher once told me that it's quite a good uni ^^

I was told that the final result would be in July. This time it would take that long, too.

But now the result of second screening still isn't out yet. According to the notification of latest years, it should be informed around late June.

Yes It does seem like a good uni, I really hope I can go there!

I guess all we can do is just to keep waiting then. But let's hope you'd get the results of the second screening as soon as possible!
