Yes. The university people want us to arrive in the first week of September. I think it will vary from university to university.Out of curiosity, has anyone who's received their placement been given approximate departure dates?
At first it was university, they asked me to choose a dormitory (super expensive, operated by Kyoritsu Maintenance). I applied and then I had a call from the embassy who said I as confirmed and had to sign and send the "Pledge", where I should say I agree with the program terms.@georgegeorge Waseda is my first choice but i didn't have any news about it. Have you accepted by Waseda ? If yes, it's the embassy or the university who contacted you ?
July 7th by university and July 20th by embassy.@georgegeorge Ok ! When did you contacted by the university and embassy ?
Congrats Daryk !
@HikariKaitou If I remember well, you applied to Osaka Daigaku as your first choice, isn't it? If so, it seems that all the people accepted there got the result by their embassy and not by the uni itself. It seems to depend on each uni, but in Osaka's case, I wonder if it's not the embassy which send the result. If so, I guess you should hear some news from your consulate soon.
I was first contacted by Doushisha in late June. Don't worry, I think that they should be contacting you soon enough. If youy received your acceptance letter from Doushisha I don't think you have much to worry about.@alchie[/USER] Were you contacted directly by the embassy or did they first inform your university? And was it through an e-mail?
