This is old news, but someone just posted it on Rat Skep. I'm sure Hezam will have a thing or two to say about it

The Megaphone desktop tool is a Windows "action alert" tool developed by Give Israel Your United Support (GIYUS) and distributed by World Union of Jewish Students, World Jewish Congress, The Jewish Agency for Israel, World Zionist Organization, StandWithUs, Hasbara fellowships, HonestReporting, and other pro-Israel public relations organizations...

The Megaphone Desktop Tool gives the user the option of going to a particular site with a poll, and if the user chooses to go to the site, the software then casts a vote automatically, when this is technically feasible. The vote is chosen by the distributors of Megaphone.

Basically, the tool allows Israel's supporters to instantly find anti-Israel posts and automatically vote in polls to promote a pro-Israel viewpoint.

What do you think? An efficient way to counter those who disagree with you? Or a sneaky backdoor to avoid truly productive debate?

It could easily backfire on them. Anti-Israeli groups could also use the software to find such posts and vote for the polls. It just ends up skewing the votes and renders the poll useless. Either way it isn't promoting any knid of debate, but when it comes to Israel most debates turn into mud slinging matches, as seen even on this forum.

So... pretty much the way to vote is "instead of thinking over things" just vote the total opposite of the other side? Sounds frighteningly like the US method of voting...

"Oh crap! They voted they will expand education costs! We must respond by doing the opposite here!"

I don't give too much of my attention to the Middle-East to be honest. Nothing going on there seems even remotely sane from ANY of the sides involved in stuff over there (and I'm including the US in that statement too).

My view? Power politics + religious hatred * retarded = Modern Middle-East political situation

As you see these days,the world realised the real face of Israel so it will be useless,no matter what they do and how much they try...
Today morning i watched ( Waiting for Armageddon 2009 ) the movie and it was a big suprise to me.

See Israelians always try to show Israel as a good country so they are trying very hard in the Media/Internet and now in the software...!
I belive that the people are not idiots anymore to belive everything they have told.

Nice topic,i will search to see what's happening to that software ( ofcourse i'm not going to be a part of this mess ).
