I have been a member of JRef for some time. However, I was not really active because I had never really explored it much.

A couple of months back, I really started exploring it, and I would say that it was a refreshing experience.

Such a large community with such a personal touch!!! To be frank, I couldn't believe it.

So, today I decided to come out from hiding under the layers of usernames to show my true identity and changed my username.

Well, the name is Himanshu Jain (username; HJain) - and me on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/himanshujains/

Great to be here - why to hide?

Why hide? Because this is the Internet. Lots of undesirable elements here. :-)

Anyway great to have you here. It's a large forum but the (active) community itself is not so large these days.

True, things have changed a lot in the past decade, social media and all that. However, social media cannot offer the close-knit community we enjoy here, with many members being good friends without ever having met in person. Honestly, it's the warmth of the community and the camaraderie, which have given me the energy and motivation to continue. :)

That crossed my mind... why not try to have one or two get-togethers, cocktails dinners in respective cities? :) Knowing some personally can also give opportunities for possible mutual value additions.

We had a couple of get-togethers years ago at @Mars Man house in Nagano Prefecture . They were a good time. Sadly, that is no longer possible. But if anyone wanted to host a new one, there's nothing stopping you!
