I've just read an article about the new Movie "SuperSize Me", and it was quite shocking indeed
Here's the link to the article:
30 days McDonalds as maximum sentence
It's in German though, I translated some excerpts below.
Also, I searched for an English article and found this:
Your liver is turning into pate
Three burgers a day
From the Yahoo! article:
Frankfurt/Main (AP) At the beginning of the movie Morgan Spurlock is a slim, fit as a fiddle and sexually active 34 year old man. 96 minutes later in the movie and four weeks in reality he gained a lot of weight, his blood and liver is in a catastrophal condition, he is lethargic and near impotent, and his girlfriend as well as the doctors are seriously concerned about him, fully justified. Did the young man have an accident, was he kidnapped or imprisoned in a North Korean camp? Nothig of all that.
[...]
During the 30 days of the self-imposed Experiment, Spurlock follows strict rules: he's only only eating stuff sold by McDonalds; in the course of the month, he, he tries every McDonalds meal at least once; finishing the meal is a must, even if it's the "Super Size" variant, the cheap and extra big portion, which is especially popular with youthsters. Before Spurlock starts his Hamburger month, he's thorougly checked by the doctors and asks for the possible consequences. He's relieved to hear that not much could happen as he's really fit as a fiddle.
All the more shocking are the reactions of the physicists documented in the movie during the course of the self-imposed experiment. The reason, Spurlock will not only gain a whopping 25 lbs, but also his body fat amount skyrockets from only 11 to 18% percent (nearly the double), his cholesterine increases from harmless 168 to very unhealthy 230, the liver condition is very critical. His girlfriend Alex openly admits that "his erections during the fast food experiment were an utter catastrophe."
