I have been lisening to Malice for some time now, and since im into alot of goth metal from norway, I love this.. this is Lacrimosa and SotB and all that stuff X10.. great great great.. there is only two things.

1) Why does all his songs sound like Castlevania soundtracks?

2) What is he singing about? (songs like Transylvania, Gekka no Yasoukyoku, Syunikiss and beast of blood)

Thats all for now..

Malice Mizer were inspired by French baroque music, hence all the church organs and harpsichords. Not all of their songs were like that, but it's kind of a recurring theme in their music.

The same can be heard in Mana's new Moi dix Mois project.

Can't help you on the lyrics, but there are probably some websites around with translated MM-lyrics. Google and thou shall find. :)

hi!
I think Gekka no Yasoukyoku is a fantasia!
Briefly,
in an old cottage,
a boy picked out a doll of pierrot.
the doll asks the boy to take himself over the mansion.
and there's a girl doll in the mansion,
the pierrot and the girl dance a duet.

and Syunikiss is a very sorrow song.
a woman, she was dead once but resuscitated.
but she is not herself, she whispers "let me get back to upper region" again and again!

sorry for too brief and poor translations:p

Thanks. This is mosly for when in introducing malice to my friends, and they ask 窶忤hat is he singing about?窶 and I must retaliate with 窶廬 don窶冲 know, but it sounds great窶

malice mizer question

does anyone know what the words are for the first part of illuminati? (0:08-0:20 i think) its not on any lyrics page and im just curious. theres also another part later in the song where he sings in the wierd voice. thanks.

japanese please! it just bugs me when i dont know all the words to my favorite songs. thanks a lot!

You do mean the muttering, right?
I know he says "like Rachel something something", that's about all >_>;;
I'd be surprised if anyone had actually gone to the trouble to decode what he's saying, then translate it into Japanese (because he's saying all of this in English).

Lydia

well whatever it is; english or japanese, if anyone by any chance knows what is being said, i would like to know.

thank you : )

I don't think M.+.M is METAL, but just plain Goth rock. Moi dix Mois is metal. Go Mana ! ! ! 😍
i thought so. songs like gardenia really isn't metal...
haven't heard Moi Dix Mois yet. *runs off to find some*

btw has anyone seen mana wearing a really great suit?

I think one of the two threads is started by somebody who didn't know there was one already:p
