Looking for my girlfriend

I lost contact with her, and the only other way for me to know about her was her brother, who lives in the US, but he isn't answering either (for a surely unrelated reason, because this started happening some time later). I found this forum and asking here seemed like the only thing I could do.
But all I have is her full name (which probably stands out, since she's half Russian), birthday, and that she was living in Tokyo, but she moved to Osaka with some relative last year. No adresses and no phone numbers, so I don't know if the information I have would be useful.

I don't know if I should just share all the info here, or if anyone who can actually help me would contact me or answer here. I'm kind of lost, so any guidance as to what I could do, or how should I do it, would be really appreciated too.
 
Do you two have each other's email addresses?
 
Is this going to be another of those "missing girlfriend" cases where the guy has never met the girl in real life and knows nothing about her?

Yes, we do. I tried sending an email too, but no answer yet.

Yes and no, I suppose. Unfortunately we haven't been able to meet in real life yet, but we have been in this relationship (whether you consider it an actual relationship or not, that's another thing) for a relatively long time now, and we DO know each other.

But I understand why you asked that. Long distance, not having met in real life, only talking over the internet, ... It can sound very questionable. Someone could be not telling the truth about themselves or cheating on the other. I know, people have told me that same thing a few times before.
That's one of the reasons I was reluctant to say "girlfriend", and considered saying "friend" instead. But it is what it is.

But I need to say, there were health issues involved, and my guess is that's the reason I'm not hearing from her. Nothing to do with knowing nothing about her, like you say.
I can't prove you that what you say is not true, so I guess you will have to take my word for it.
With that said, I would like to find this person, and I would like some help.

Just not enough that you know her snail mail address, her phone number, or how to contact her parents? What online dating service did you meet on? OK Cupid?

We have had success before, but it didn't have a happy ending.

Mike Cash, I just read that thread, I skimmed over some of the longer posts but I see what you mean.
I've kept it all pretty vague, and that isn't helping me.
I know her email, but, we never really needed to have phone numbers, or adresses. We had ways to talk to each other (Kik, Skype), and whenever she wouldn't answer, I could ask her brother. I guess I didn't realise I should have those things in case I need them, like right now.
About her parents, she isn't even in contact with her parents, so that's not something we thought about.

I haven't sent her money or anything. And the health issues, it wasn't just her telling me, it was also her brother, and it's been like that for a few years now. And at no time it seemed like they were hiding anything, or lying about it.

We started talking like 4 years ago. And we haven't met in real life yet? Sadly, no. Neither of our situations is helping.
But I feel like that's important for me to say, because for a scam, that would be a pretty long time, and she never asked me for money or gifts or anything like that.

I haven't met her brother either. He and I started talking some time after I initially met her. He was living in Tokyo at the time too, but he moved to the US. If I needed to know about her, I would message him. But for some reason, he isn't even receiving my messages now either, so I can't ask him. But I don't think these two cases are connected, it didn't happen at the same time.
