That is... a lot.. of kanji. Well... I dont know if it's what you're looking for but I LOVE my Kanji Dictionary. It's "Kanji and Kana, Revised Edition". It's published by the Tuttle Language Library and authored by Wolfgang Hadamitxky and Mark Spahn. It was revised in 1997 and printed in 2003, so I think it meets that standard. *typing out cover*
A Comprehensive Guide Featuring:
-The officially recognized 1,945 Jouyou Kanji with readings and meaning
-The officially recognized 284 Jinmei-you Kanji used in names with readings and examples
-Characters presented in brush, pen, and printed forms. Up to five useful compounds for each character
-Three indexes: by radical, stroke count, and readings
Those indexes don't include one with English readings so if you need to learn more about a specific kanji in a word that you don't quite know, you'll need a Japanese dictionary to go a long with it. I love this dictionary, I really do! It has numbers to show you stroke order and direction, which is really helpful. It's not 6,355 characters... but what it covers, it covers WELL. I've found it very useful since it covers most every commonly used character so I can translate most any raw literature I find. I hope this was of some use to you! Good luck on your massive Kanji dictionary hunt. In order to get that many, I fear you may have to buy a set with volumes!
